lol, garage is all clean and car is well and truly locked away now!

few more bits to do. Mostly pat has to sort out some wiring issues.

Will take it down to PE after that and see if 555bhp on the engine dyno equates to the same or similar on the rollers.

can anyone help me sell mine?

its been up for sale on here for three months, immaculate condition, perfect show car, or building block for a big project.

run on optimax and nf race fuel, knocklinked etc, all services complete etc etc, however no comments or views at all!!

no responses from Top Marques, Autotrader or E-Bay or on here as yet, i think its priced right?

The only response i have had was from Pistonheads, the guy was keen but went for Peccy's instead.

any ideas guys??? anyone offer any advice on how to sell it?

car details on the first post in this thread or more here:-

Click

i would be very grateful for any input as i must sell the car soon.

Looks mint to me (from the photo). Altho I would say that with near enough 60k on the clock, you may want to lower the price to say £12,995 and take a bid on it. I've just had take £900 less than I wanted on my UK turbo that I've just sold with a similar mileage on as yours. I was told by an import specialist (that didnt even want mine particularly as a PX because of the mileage) that unless they have 30-35k on the clock, they have to be priced to sell (no matter how mint condition) IE fairly cheap. Otherwise, with the amount to choose from out there, it could be months before you get a bite (so to speak). Cr@p isnt it!

Good luck m8

Cactus jim ... Sweet Type R .. I'm looking at getting one.. but i just prefer the blue colour! If nothing else comes up then i'll seriously consider yours.. after my current car has sold!

I've just dropped my current cars price by £1200.. as i want to sell it to get a scooby!!

thanks guys, i think that may help its sale along, i really do love my car, but living in london means its almost un-affordable insurance-wise. hence moving on.

i will lower the price and see what comes, it is a real head turner and i would hope that it would go to a good home. perhaps now i should retry Top Marques, Banzai and Piston-heads.

Anyone got any other ideas?

I doubt Type R owners will feel the benefit of that just yet, probably over the next 12-18 months if the law stays the same. Bear in mind if you do a search on Autotrader for Type R's, you get 39 results!!!! (admittedly that includes RA's). So there are still quite a lot to choose from with this being the first on the list....

1998 SUBARU Impreza STi Type R,
R reg. 41000 miles, a rare 2 door coupe, both immaculate inside & out, silver, brand new 17 gold alloy wheels, manual 5 speed with adjustable disk control, baby forces sale, mint example, 1st to see will buy. £10,500 . mike or linda.

£10,500

Cheers Guys...

Heres the spec...

MY99
9000 miles - all Jap miles with history
22b bumber/bonnet
6 point roll cage
pace notes holder
Apexi Power FC ECU (not put on it yet, still boxed in the boot but its booked in to be fitted and remapped by Andy F)
Apexi Shift light
Apexi boost gauge
Greddy Turbo Timer
Prodrive drivers bucket with harnesses
Carbon Fibre wing mirrors
Uprated large alloy radiator
Apexi Adjustable suspension
Apexi Anti roll bar
HKS Induction Kit
Group N exhaust
Roof scoop (over safari vent)
17" OZ Super T's
Plus all original equipment inc drivers seat and brand new carpet (so the cage can be taken out)

Its a WRC replica at the moment (well...kinda, see pic below) but all the stickers will be removed (they've already started on one side the one you can see) , Im having the standard drivers seat put back in (cos I dont fit the bucket seat, and NO Im not a bloater before anyone makes any wise cracks , its made for a tiny Japanese person), taking the carbon rally mirrors off and the originals put back on, removing the Sparco steering wheel and Prodrive gear shifter and putting the original stuff back on, removing the Group N exhaust and putting the original backbox back on....
Its well mad how much stuff there is with the car, theres all the original STi suspension/air box/bonnet vents/pedals/badges/ theres even a painting of the car in the boot (a professional one), all the orignal brochures/paperwork... spare boost gauge, brake pads plus loads of other good stuff, theres a cd player AND a mini-disc player, massive amp in the boot!!

Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

J
