I will be there on the 7th, went up to Bedford this week and had my STI8 (PPP Hayward Scott back box and centre pipe) tested. On different parts of the circuit they got 79db and 81db. I have tested it on the static test and get 89db. I understand the maximum drive by limit is 87db.

They are recommending you bring a quiet back box if you have got one (my lofts full of them).

Last time I went to Bedford (Nov 2002) I had a great deal of difficulty remembering the circuit as it is so long and featureless. Just to add to the problem they are changing a couple of bends.

glenn,

I've got a letter from Liv & Vic confirming i am covered for track day use.

It took them a while to reply to my letter asking for it but i got it in black & white eventually (they also apologised for a late response).

I'll have it with me on the day if this is what you need.

Thanks Chris. Is this addressed to you personally or is it a general LV letter re trackdays? Think I'd better write to LV this week to request one - how long did it take to get yours?

Anyone from around Bedford who wants tyres for the track day?
If so I have been given some good prices for tyres from a local supplier.
If you go to Bedford Wheels and ask for Phil Collins, he is the owner, mention David Murfitt and SIDC and will look afetr you well. Prices from £44 + VAT for 215/40/17!

Can anybody spell out the deal for someone who wishes to attend the day as a spectator and also have some passanger laps but who isn't a SIDC member (because they don't own a Scoob) ?

I.e. do they need to pay anything and can they do so on the day ?

Cheers

Ian
