Joking appart I honestly do get touchy when driving hard with 1/4 tank or less! If ever I was to have a race through the twisties whoever I was racing would likely be confused as to why I go hell for leather round the left handers but cruise round the right
I have the standard phobia of damage to my teeth. You know the dream where they all brake and then you wake up and cr@p yourself!!

"I'm not generally worried by them, but on that occasion, let's just say I got out of bed in record time and performed some crazy face-slapping dance round my bedroom for a while."

I've got a phobia of phobias
Can't go anywhere near large hairy spiders unless they have a glass over them, hate flying when I used to love it as a kid , and going in the sea when I don't know what I am treading on, no problem snorkelling or scuba diving, absolutely love it, just hate not knowing whats below me

Parasites
Fleas, ticks, lice, leeches,
Then again I've had them all over 13 years in the Army, along with a few others. So they can be a phobia, just a really strong dislike.

Spiders, deep water and heights in that order.
If I was standing on the top of the Harbour Bridge in Sydney, looking down at the water with spiders coming up the bridge towards I have no idea what I would do. I think the preferable thing for me would be to die of fright - either that or jump!
I have no idea why I am frightened of spiders or heights, though I may have been influenced by my dad's fear of them.

Most phobias (phobii??) are 'ok' to have because they're usually of things that will do harm to you, like heights, snakes, sharp objects etc...
I've got a friend who's got a phobia of wooden spoons...

Spiders and Sharks
I watched Jaws whenit first came out, i was 6 and ever since then I have this kind of fascination with sharks I think I've seen every single documentary ever done.
No F*CKING way will you get me in the sea in more than 2 1/2 feet of water seeing as most shark attackes happen in 3 feet of water.

Thanks for participating folks.... if nothing else, lets hope this exercise has made a few people realise that they are not alone in what scares the living **** out of them. Most people have some sort of phobia or very great fear.
As for the few who say they don't have any phobias.... I reckon they just haven't come across them yet, given time , we all find something to make us quake in our boots.
Thanks.
