Apart from a great letter the only thing I would have added is " I look forward to your reply/response, delete as needed, in seven days."

You now have to copy all mails etc. to top-gear, watch dog & IM etc.

If I had the time I would get A3 printouts made of my letter, stick them to the windows of my car and park it locked and alarmed across the entrance to the premises for a weekend. But they really are not worth the time or energy, just gonna fire bomb them instead

 

 

I think I'd start on the daily friendly calls to 'em. The only time I've had "trouble" remotely like this has been with solicitors/estate agents. Ended up phoning twice a day to see if I could do anything to help...

 

Just got a call from Bell and Coalvill.............aparently they have just spoken with the repairing dealer and I should get a call later this afternoon to tell me i can collect my car tomorrow ................. does anyone think holding my breath is a bad idea?

So i finally got a response from my letter, the dealers customer care guy called me yesterday, yold me the guys in the service dpet had received a stern talking to, was assured that next time my experience with them would be far far better and that they were sorry, as for compensatio (direct quote here) "we owe you nothing, sorry"
So, where now?
Do ia name and shame?
Can I get into trouble for doing so?
Any suggestions as to who I register my displeasure with?

 

If u name and shame, and then have a problem with the repair they have done, it might be difficult trying to get any further assistance from them. Although u certainly have been treated badly from what u say and i can understand u wanting to prevent any other owner from suffering the same problems. I'd wait a while myself. Hope the car stays ok anyway!

 

The people i want to name did not carry out the repair, they just kept telling me they were for 4 weeks when in fact they were not.

Well I have finally run the car in, top marks to Marlborough for what seems to be a first rate job. All i have to do now is get my oil and filter changed FOC (surley this is part of the rebuild), get my service book stamped up and ask them once more (after 5 calls) to provide me with some sort of documentation to say i have had a new short end fitted. Then I need to get someone to admit to a **** load of scratches all over the front end !!!!!!!
