I can't agree

J

Edited to remove very serious allegations which are best settled off-line. Hopefully the issue can be resolved - Ian has posted his mobile number below.

Thanks,

Chris.

Thumbs up

I stopped using car garages to buy my cars years ago and tended to source my vehicles from independant contract companies. I was sick of the usual BS a young lad gets when wanting to buy decent cars! That was until I met Ian @ Palmers, who gives the frankest advice without the usual drivel and offer the best customer service by far!

I have to thank Ian at Stan Palmers Carlisle and Jason @ Stan Palmers Cockermouth for helping me source my new car which I pick up on Wednesday/Thursday. They have bent over backwards to help and make sure the car arrives.

A big thank you must also go out to Tom, Dougie and the crew at Palmers for looking after my Subaru over the past 12 months, you've always gone above and beyond the call of duty!

SO if you are looking for a new car or simply need the best servicing available give Ian a call, and you wont be disappointed!

Have a good holiday mate!

yeah I 2nd that. Ian's great and doesn't try to bull$hit. Straight to the best price etc. I went from Portsmouth to Carlisle to view the 22B and he stayed open late so we could view it. He even arranged to have it delivered to me a week later on the back of a trailer!

I have recommended him to no end of people but still no commission or anything (and I know some of them have ended up buying from him!)

big thumbs up to that one...Ian looks after my "grey import- belgian" MY02 with varius mods from the tarty (SECS, bodywork) to the more serious (EcuTek, De-cat).....

Spot on every time. Anybody reading this with an import / jap / EU / Sti / 22b/ P1/ etc in the area wondering about a friend to help in a genuine Subaru dealer look no further.

Midlife..

PS Jamie...Hows the S2000 ?? and what happened to the suspension on Ians car ??? is it for sale again ??? (serious question)

Hi!

I pick the S2000 up on Wednesday/Thursday.

The suspension on Ians car came off as the MY03 requires a different setup, spring rates etc. Bilstein told me yesterday when they visited us, that because of this, they are in the process of designing a new PSS9 kit for the MY01, we should have sets coming mid December.

My kit now lives in Portugal, and is highly recommended for MY01/02 cars. It transformed mine! Let me know if I can help you out.

Just looked at my last e-mail messages from Ian and the above e-mail seems current

Ian's a dead nice guy to talk to so would suggest a call on

01228 525051 (reception desk so ask for Ian)

Are you after a P1, the last time I looked they had a dead smart Y Plate with Anthracite wheels...and the rest (fancy a Lotus Exige ??)

Midlife...

13 years in manchester so aplogies for the use of "dead"

Usually quite a few MY03 flavours on the plot. Probably includes most things from standard WRX's (must admit they do look nice in Silver) through EcuTek'd Modded ones to PPP'd STi's.......Enjoy

Midlife..

Ps if you buy one with a standard WRX spoiler I hear he has a Morette / Subaru OEM STi spoiler hanging about the bodyshop which I am sure he would fit at a ridiculously cheap price

Forgot to mention there's also a 22B (49 of 400), I must go down and have a look. Must just check what I have to part ex.....

MY02 Tarty Impreza WRX
Toyota MR2 summer car (still open to offers)
Citroen Picasso...(the wife can walk)

Not quite enough

how about throwing in a goldfish called "Beady" and a cat that answers to the name of Misty.

Tempting

LOL..

Having spare cash / loan for a 22B.???...You obviously havn't got an ex wife yet

I wrote to John Banks and he does do Bugeye mapping....I have asked him what I should get to make the best of it. I'll let you know what goes on.

Midlife....

PS I actually posted to say that there are roadworks around Stan Palmers at the moment. If anybody wants to pay a visit to Ian I would suggest telephoning beforhand for up-to-date directions of how to get there.

Big turbo and front mount Midlife. thats the way to go before you see John B.

Although having said that, he did talk me out of needing a front mount and just needing a better top mount and sticking to around 350bhp. So i`ve got 5 things to do now.........
Brakes, new tmic, silicon inlet pipe, tdo5 turbo and full re-spray

Just flicking through the last "True Grip" mag at the last few pages and see that Stan Palmer do a 10% discount for SIDC members like me, I'm not on comission but realise I should have asked for some money off!! No complaints though as I feel Stan Palmers AKA Ian Armstrong's help coming again....see below..

Abbey... we seemed to have hijacked a thread but John Banks suggested two routes to more delivery (the first being FMIC, water injection and headers etc.) but I thought I's go for the TD05 turbo, better intercooler, bigger injectors and a better fuel pump.....Is this waht you were thinking.

Midlife..

PS I've an Example EcuTek remap for the MY02.....for the new age cars the licence is for the MAPPER and not the ECU. If I use John for any remaps I have to pay for another licence ...OUCH !!!!

Another person hiding behind a fake user name?!

I really don't think a professional company like Palmers would have anything to do with such goings on.
