Jacko, the older version was pants as the graphics were crap.

This is the newer one than I had a much improved.

Finally found something out tonight. Each race in the turbo I would hold it at 10k rpm on the line, with full turbo alight then let it rip on the green light.

The others wouldall tear away, and reach 135mph on the straight. All I could do was 118mph My car made lots of farting noises, but I assumed it was the TC/LSD doing its bit.

Realised tonight it was a blown engine, due to me always redlining it at the start.

Changed my start now, and finally won a race earlier on

Thought all the guys typing "engine blown" were having a laugh.

 

I reckon you need to warm the tyres up too as the first couple of laps see me mostly in the kitty litter!

On another note,
This "skins" lark, Is there more to it than just putting a relevant .jpg file into the skins folder?

I have done both the scoobnet one (white background, scoobynet logo) and the impreza one (blue background, yellow 555 logo)
The scoobynet one I can never find in the list let alone load !

Partial success with the impreza one, I can find it load it and see it my self when racing but no one else can see it

skins... it doesnt seem to upload them to the server, then re-transmit to each player... I even tried putting them up in the skins directory on the server, but the clients dont seem to download it ever

Anyone got any good settings (force strength and centre reduction) for a Thrustmaster Ferrari Force Feedback wheel? I can't see where to alter the sensitivity, either

Was good fun last night, jules was waay faster than us thought, had a good fight with Neanderthal though

Essentially change your final drive ratio, the lower it is the higher your top speed, but also the lower your acceleration. Jules sent me his setup and it does work quite well except for a tendancy for the rear to try and overtake the front under braking
