Not sure why my skin doesnt show up, as you say carl, they must be local or something, though if you can see a NOS one not sure

Re the turbo backend, the main way to get it stable is by lowering the LSD towards 0, but it slows you down (top speed 118) and it sounds like a sewing machine

Something not right with the skins -- every time you connected it said something like "Can't load XR_Creature skin".

Might give this a go again. NTL 600 kbit/s broadband seems adequate for a 6 car server. Though I'll have to be careful not to bust their bandwidth limits

 

PS, talking of liveries, I know its sad but here is mine that you should have been able to see, plus the interior with JVC head unit, Dual Guages, blue trim and Orange Mobile

0.2d3 is a test version. Best to stick with 0.2c as it's the official one at the moment.

Anyone know how some of them get there cars so quick? Cheating/mods?

I have set mine up to be spot on, but with the XF I can still only hit 107mph on the straight. Other guys seem to sail past

 

What I can't understand is how some people manage to creep forward on the starting grid before the lights go green

I think I'll upgrade to D3 tonight and may run a server again.

 

I installed D3 last night and I didn't notice any game stopping bugs over and above C.

Strange thing - just had a quick go on LFS, and some guy changed his car during the race and he had my kreature skin on as above

Not sure how he managed that one.

 

Since the skins are just image files in the skins dir, if someone else creates their own skin with the name matching yours, you'll see yours on their car...

Need a LFS skins page for people to download em so we can see each other
