dominicm,
My car is running a fairly healthy power spread at the mo, considering the only 'breathing' mods are: Hayward and Scott D/P, HKS Hiper Centre and Back, APS Induction Kit and a Forge Re-Circulating D/V - So standard STI top mount no FMIC unfortunately, std turbo, Injectors etc.
Car runs at 321 bhp and 299 ft/lbs of torque. (PE Rolling Road Day August 02 - Tho the car was running a HKS Super Drager rather than a Hiper then)
Holds 1.4 bar of boost.
Had this setup for about a year now with no problems with the car.
Re-mapping is fine, tho I wouldnt do it myself, I trust Bob explicitly, he knows his stuff and I'd recommend him to anybody, I've got WI and a Walbro uprated fuel pump (Installing tomorrow in the snow lol), and a re-map with Bob on sat, Car is on the Rollers on the 1st Feb so hopefully will see a small increase

Neanderthal good luck matey. Some people(inc Evil Bevel) have got good results with it and if you've got it at a really good price then why not? Please do invest in a Knocklink though.

Just to confirm what's been said like 10 times in this thread already, I had my Unichip installed and tuned at a workshop which is very known and has a good reputation over here. I was NOT satisfied with the result (~180kW/235lbft), since IMHO more was to get out of my MY96 with all the mods made.
I then took the car to another workshop, and what a difference!!!
He worked with the car for 3-4 hours, and the result was 218kw/285lbft... and what's more important, it now behaves completely different! This guy has made a programmable ECU himself, so I guess he knows what his business...

Here are the specs... if you understand finnish
EDITED to add this link http://www.hestec.fi
