Harvey,

have spoken to a few rally teams, and a few mappers of engines on dynos, with experience of lots of engines, and the general consensus seemed to be that on a turbo charged engine, the vernier cam pulleys were of questionable value.

People tended to say, go for it if you really want to, the effect of fine adjustment between tooth adjustment is more hassle than its worth.

The only people keen to promote how useful they are was kent, but then they make the things.

Previous testing by a compnay I dont want to name here on an engine dyno with a wrc engine still on its restrictor yielded a maximum improvement of around 5bhp. Better than nothign, but not entirely certain it would be worthwhile for the £400 they cost and extra grief of setting them up each time you take of the cambelt.

Cool

May let you know Adam but I was expecting more than just 5bhp. Like more torque lower down.

As adam says,
forget the vernier pulleys.
If you want / need fine adjustment, use an offset key...
easy to make yourself (in the spirit of things)

Andy.
Still like the idea of stroking the EJ20
