hmm, I still say that an import Sti V5 (with a couple of minor tweeks)is the best pound for pound Scoob available.

NO doubting P1s legendary status, Subaru missed an opportunity eith the bug it is not a huge improvement on the classic especially when it comes to interior design/quality and looks.

Lets see how the latest one looks in the metal.

Lads lads...no need for the arguing now is there! lol i am actually supprised by the number of posts on this thread i didn't think it would turn out like this at all. I thought i'd get 1 maybe two replies but hey i'm not complaining.

I bit the bullet and bought the P1 after carreful consideration and weighing up the pros and cons. The P1 for me is what i wanted from my RB5, more power and stiffer more rigid suspension and car.

In the end it was better for me to change to the P1 rather than to spend the £££'s on the RB5 to get it how i wanted it.

Consider FMIC @ £1000
Hybrid Turbo £1000
Suspension Setup £1000

all are approximatations of course but you get the picture.

Thanks again for all the sound advice!

Welcome to the club

Now be prepared for derisory comments like some of the ones you've seen in this thread

Enjoy it mate, IMHO the P1 summed up what the original Impreza was all about.

R.B.5.

Just some food for thought on your new purchase.

I changed the exhaust and had the ECU re-mapped and the car (P1 by the way) is running 323bhp on the dyno and total cost around £800.

Had a chat with a nice bloke today who has an EVO6 and services both scoobies and EVO's. We had a shot driving each others cars (I would say his is slightly quicker, although he thinks theres not much between the two)and he reckons the P1 is the best scoob he has driven.

Sorry the drone on but the bottom line is you wont have to spend thousands to see a really rapid gain.

Happy driving

Mike

Cool

The P1 is awesome, had some nice safe but quick driving last night to see what it was all about and i dont really have words to describe how nice the car is. Not one mark on the outside at all and i used some Wax Wizard(swissol) on her yesterday just to sweeten the car up in the sun!

One majorly happy scoob owner
