i suppose it would all be loads more expensive

Disabled or parts removed to qualify for RHI grants.

The actual valve used to switch from heat to cool is just a 」30 solenoid valve, found in pretty much every split wall-mount air conditioner. So it "shouldn't" be expensive....but it is.

We got ant-bombed last week, our patio was absolutely covered in flying ants. Not seen any for years.

Think I'm going to have succumb and get some fitted.

Solar gain via the roof on the attic conversion and the bifold on the kitchen has seen these rooms peak to 28 degrees. Rest of the house is 25degrees whilst it 32+ degrees outside, which is bearable but it means having windows open at night to cool back down, and there is always some drongo on a Chinese motorbike with knackered baffles droning down the road at 3:00am for what seems an eternity probably just to deliver some insomniac's pizza (or just finished his shift), either way it's as annoying as f**k.

Just wish I'd done it before I decorated
