Hello people, just thought I’d give my thoughts regarding the meguirs I’ve recently used on this thread. I got caught in the rain today and as I was driving I watched the rain fall off the car as I was driving. I’m a massive fan of r222 but I’m going to start using the meguirs from now on simply because of how it repels rain. The r222 has a better shine and is easier to put on and remove but the rain fell of my car with the meguirs which is far better than the r222 does, cheers.

Hi all, got my car mot’d Wednesday (no advisories woohoo) then waxed her with my favourite carnauba wax r222. First time I drove her in 2 months and I was grinning from ear to ear driving her. Before I sorned it I wasn’t feeling the love for her but now it’s back with a passion 👍

without making anyway sick, a couple people wound there windows down to say what a clean car it is. Who doesn’t love comments like that....Thanks to r222...

Looks lovely mate. Always nice to get some positive comments too!

I always find that when I’ve started losing the feeling, a quick run along the back roads makes me remember why I own it. 😁

I’m first to admit my mistakes so before I sorned it when people would rag up my **** I’d stop and confront them only because my son was in the car. It happened a few times, They would **** themselves and my blood was boiling. I wasn’t feeling the love so did consider selling it only because I don’t want to get in trouble but I did realise it’s only a small minority of jealous cnts . I absolutely love it and will be here for a while 👍👍

Anyone after a used set of car mats before they go in the bin? Apart from the drivers one there in good condition. The rears are like new. If someone wants them just pay postage, came out of my blob 👍

I see, so it doubles as an anti-theft mechanism too

Hi all, nothing special but had a little drive in the car today to new Brighton with my son for some exercise then got home and cleaned her, lots of people wind down there windows, stop and stare etc...i think my car is blinding the pedestrians / fellow drivers with the cm thick of carnauba wax due to lockdown.

Looking super clean Johno, do you use that C4 restorer on your plastics regularly or just now and then coz the trim is still looking good👍

thanks ted, I used it twice when I first bought it months ago, the scuttle panel I think it’s called at the front looks great and it certainly has improved it to the point where it looks new but it didn’t work very well on the wing mirror plastic bits so I will give it another go

That looks amazing Johno! I bet it must be a nightmare to keep those wheels clean though.
I remember how my old blue one used to really pop with a good layer of wax on it.
Do you use any specific product on the wheels to make them easier to clean? I've tried a few different sealers but never rated any of them.

cheers mate. The method I use to clean my wheels is easy. it’s the first thing I do when cleaning my car, hot water with just normal fairy liquid lol, give them a good clean with a huge sponge so there’s no dirt left on them. Then once I’ve waxed the front of my car I will use that microfibre cloth which is full of r222 carnauba wax to go over the front wheels again so they ping. Same with the rear, once I waxed the rear of the car I will use that microfibre cloth again to clean the rear wheels. I get a buzz from having a gleaming car and spending hours cleaning it whereas a lot of folk on here can drive at break neck speed which I can’t do.

Interesting choice of cleaning product! If the mrs caught me swiping the fairy I'd be in big trouble!
I've started using Magma from AG recently and it's impressive at removing most of the dust. I spray it on before I start washing and leave it 5 minutes.
I do enjoy getting the cars spotless but have struggled to find the time these last couple of years.
Every time I make a start, I'm immediately being reminded of how many other jobs still need doing around the house.
