I do enjoy getting the cars spotless but have struggled to find the time these last couple of years.
Every time I make a start, I'm immediately being reminded of how many other jobs still need doing around the house.

I used to be like this. I really love seeing cars like this but with 2 tiny children and the dog it's near on impossible to find the time or prevent them touching it.

I am getting several bits resprayed and thinking of a clear wrap to have future polishing.

I understand mate, when the weekend comes I love spending time with just my son so my gf can have a break as she has him all week. All I ask of her is a few hours of a weekend to clean my car, it works for both of us.

Hi all, got this week off and I’ve been making the most of it with my missus and my son by going the beach etc...BUT I had to take my dog to the vets which I didn’t know about...first question to my missus was can your dad take you? No.... Second question was can you get a taxi? No....basically I had to take her and the dog in my Subaru🤬🤬🥊🥊

I got time to get the hairs out and give her a wax. 👍 I’m a massive fan of r222 but as I had none left I used farcela g3. I can honestly say that this Halfords carnauba wax gives a shine like my favourite wax r222. It is strictly a show and shine wax as I don’t think it’s good in the rain but my car doesn’t get used in the rain so I’m not bothered, here’s some pictures 👍

Just one more thing people, I have a spare few quid to spend and seeing how the underneath gets neglected most the time, I’m thinking about buying this from scoobyworld. Instead of bc coilovers which I have I was going to get the bilstein or Tein coilovers but probably the bilstein due to the colour match...what’s your thoughts eg...value for money? Thanks

Looks like a comprehensive kit their, i would go with the tein over the bc, just because ive had them before and i know i like them and have heard a few negative reports about bc but also some good reports.
Id get on the phone to Alyn and see what he says, hes very nice in person, i managed to extract a lorry load of info from him just in one phone call 👍

Just to add suspension is very subjective and theres alot of variables.
Good luck

For that amount of money I’d rather have higher end suspension than all that lot.

Like KW V3’s

I’m just looking at doing a underside restoration so whilst your probably right in regards to your suspension I’m just looking at replacing the underneath with respectable brand names. The bilstein look great and they can’t be any worse than my bc coilovers for normal driving. My bc coilovers will be like brand new but that scoobyworld deal looks tempting.

Have you thought about going back to OEM Dave? Or even OEM with some lowering springs? I've always found coilovers to be a bit too much for the UK roads, even my previous KW's.

I haven’t mate and yes they are harsh especially as I’ve got them stiff because of the wheel arches rubbing when it was first set up, would I have to change the wheels if I went back oem?

Not sure mate. I'm sure I've seen someone on here who is enthusiastic about suspension and can help though, I'll try to remember who it is.

Hi all, unfortunately I may put the car for up for sale in the near future and as there’s plenty of pictures of the outside I thought I’d take some of the inside with bits removed. I honestly have nothing to hide with this car and with me stripping the rear out and posting pictures it may put any potential buyers mind at rest as we know there some rust buckets out there now. I will be posting pictures of the sills aswell sometime today. These pictures may be utter worthless and doesn’t prove anything but I’ve had this car on the ramps at different garages and theres absolutely nothing to hide. I’m not mechanically minded so I’m just trying to go above and beyond for anyone interested. Cheers.

Hi all, I’ve decided to keep my car for the time being....I put it on eBay and got very close to what I asked for. I’m going to leave it on eBay as it’s paid up for a month and if someone on eBay wants to buy it for 18 grand it theres. Thanks for all the interest. I’m glad to be staying as a Subaru owner on here, I will buy a few bits for it next month to replace the rusty bolts etc...
