Morning all, bit of a random question but here we go....my bc coilovers which I know are at the low end of the market are less than a year old, I’ve heard they rust pretty quickly so as I’m off next week for a few days would it be of any use to clean them up and spray them with clear dinotrol just to preserve them? I will be upgrading them down the line so obviously the better the condition there in then I’m sure they will be of use to someone else, thanks.

Was filling up my tyres and noticed mine are looking a bit tired, didn't realise they had gotten that bad.

I'd like to hear opinions on those socks do they trap moisture in causing more issues or do they prolong the life of the suspension.

I had a set of BC’s on my STi for 5 maybe 6 yrs and within year or so the powder coat had completely disappeared off the springs,to be fair when I removed them the bodies were still in very good condition, pity they don’t put a bit better coating on the springs when they are manufactured, maybe a light coating before fitting will help things but for them (springs) to deteriorate so bad,so quickly,I would think they may need something a bit more substantial to make a difference tbh..just my opinion of course

Hi all, hope your keeping safe and well. Took a couple days off work as its my son’s bday and I need a break tbh...got some “minor” things done to the car:

cleaned the bc coilovers and sprayed them with clear dinotrol
new wheel caps
new wheel nuts
new wiper blades
changed the pin on my sigma unit as the original was unknown
paired the spare key I have although there’s a problem which I will post soon, here’s some pics...

it was easy mate, tbh the coilovers were pretty clean anyway so I wiped them down with a damp cloth then dried them before applying the dinotrol. I got these wheel nuts off my mate, I’m not sure where he got them but they seem ok 👍

Hi all, thought I’d give my opinion on meguiars deep crystal Carnauba wax. I rinsed and dried the car before hand like I do with all wax’s then applied it.

Another fantastic wax, I cant comment on how it repels rain as the car is locked away and I use the work van most the time but it’s very easy to apply and nice and easy to remove. I’m a massive fan of r222 and I will buy another but this is right up there with it. When tomorrow morning come I will see how it looks Again but I’m impressed with it...👍👍

I gave it another coat today as condensation formed on my car overnight as I didn’t lock it away and I wasn’t happy 🤬🤬 and yes it’s fantastic stuff, I think I will buy it again for a change. I also cleaned the interior with meguires new car scent and again fantastic results. Meguirs really is up there with the best IMO.

Next month my car is going to adgespeed for the following:

rocker cover gaskets
service
MOT
underseal
sort aircon as there’s a leak...

after that I’m hopefully in a position where my car needs NOTHING...It may go to scoobyclinic for power upgrades but that’s just me spending money for the sake of it as this car is my hobby.
