began waxing my car with the menzerno, only did the wings and bonnet...WOW...it’s a very light cutting wax which also leaves a fantastic shine...as it started raining I decided to swerve it and start again tomorrow hopefully when it’s dry. I have noticed that it’s a lot harder to remove than my normal waxes BUT if the results are as good as I think they will be then it will be well worth the extra effort. Will try get you pictures of the finished product tomorrow but fck me it looked good...very deep shine which I’ve never seen before
Really hmmm, that's not the best. Yea I know about the topping up, which I'd be happy to do, just not keen on the tacky side of things, thought it would go dry.

If you’re planning on doing it yourself then I can highly recommend the Bilt Hamber Dynax wax. It dries much harder than the Lanogaurd and is just as easy to use. You can get it in black or clear and it’s not that expensive. I’ve had good results with it.

Where’s the pictures of the bonnet then Dave?
I read some reviews on this stuff when I was looking for a new wax. I decided to go with the Fusso Coat Soft99 in the end. It’s also very good but takes a bit more effort to use. Less is more as they say

not sure whether it’s a sealant/water repellent but when I was using it yesterday before the rain came I’d go as far as saying it’s the best I’ve used so far....but will need the whole car done first before confirming that

let me know how you get on with the fusso 👍
ive has fusso in the past and I found it very tough to use, I didn’t give it much of a go so post some pictures once done ✅
just thought I’d give you my thoughts regarding the menzerna and the adams buttery wax....firstly the menzerna-leaves a good deep shine but absolutely awful to remove. THE SHINE IS FANTASTIC BUT Got sick to death of wrestling with it trying to remove it plus whereas I’d normally use 4 or so microfibre cloths you will need 10-15 on a full car with this stuff. SHAME as it started off good. Got sick of it after the wings and bonnet 👎
adams buttery wax: leaves a good shine, easy to remove but leaves white dust marks....would use again 👍
IF ANYONE WANTS THIS MENZERNA TO TRY FOR THEMSELVES THEY CAN HAVE IT FOR THE POSTAGE FEE.
i will stick to either chemical guys butter wet wax OR MEGUIARS DEEP CRYSTAL CARNAUBA WAX 👊🏻
for a compound to remove swirl marks, holograms etc...use Meguiars ultimate compound 🤘
Hello compadres, hope your all good ✊ few days off work, not to relax, not to go abroad but instead carry on refreshing the underside of my car...WOOHOO🤘
decided to refresh these gearbox bits...pictures 👍
got a couple days off work to get some bits done to the car. I’ve not bothered with it for a few weeks as I’m always busy of a weekend so anyway here’s what I got done:
1. the clicking noise when turning right:
I couldn’t see any issues with the cv joint, no split boot etc but I thought the drop links looked rusty and awful. As there cheap for the front ones (45 from icp for genuine Subaru ones) I decided to change them and see if the noise went.
Took a drive to Halfords and the Clicking noise has gone 👍
I know it’s an easy job to any decent mechanic but I gotta say thanks to nossy for answering my questions regarding changing them 🙏
2. CHANGE COOLANT HOSES AND COOLANT.
I think I will give to to my mechanic to do as it looks abit awkward from underneath on axle stands (correct me if I’m wrong)
Also got new jubilee clips to replace the old rusty ones
3. THE UNDERSIDE
Decided to carry on cleaning the underside by spraying all the undertrays. The oil sump looked abit rusty too so I may get that replaced when the next service is done. These undertrays were removed a few weeks ago and cleaned at a car wash. They were left in the garage to dry off so I gave them a wipe over to remove dust
not added the stonechip protection yet as I got bored plus my car got caught In a bad downpour so a full wax is next. Thanks
im carrying on with the underside restoration on my car and I’ve just ordered this with tein flex coilovers as I have bc coilovers already on it which have only covered 4000 miles of very sympathetic driving
question is do I swap the bc coilovers currently on it for the tein or just sell the tein? (I only ordered tein as there meant to be better) My wheels are 9.5 wide et38 so it’s currently set up perfect for the mrs daisy driving I do. Someone could buy the tein if they want them for a Slightly lower price than retail👍 Or put them on and sell the bc coilovers on it with 4000 miles? Any thoughts team?
I had bc on a blob and tein on my Hawk.....
tein all day long, ride quality was so much smoother with tein and after 3 years they still looked and performed great.
After 6 months the bc looked like ****e and top mounts had failed.
Hello brothers ✌️ When the weekend comes and the weather is nice there’s 3 IMPORTANT THINGS to get done:
1. work of a Saturday morning
2. Spoil the little man
3: try a new wax which tickles my fancy...the wax in question...turtle wax hybrid solutions graphene
probably because it’s hot outside, this wax is an f’in knightmare to remove. Most are probably a knightmare to remove in this weather...but not p21....will try again tomorrow morning but 👎 so far

I found this with Maguires ceramic. I then found if I sprayed it, wiped with a very damp cloth and then dried with a different cloth it was a dream to use.
It really depends what you're going to do with the car. For track or sustained hard driving it could be a very good idea. Your oil temp gauge will tell you if it's time to get an oil cooler.

certainly not tracking her and not even ragging it about, I might get the 2 remaining items which is the injectors and turbo then get it all put together and mapped. I will start adding the extras as and when...looking forward to a nice new big shiny 450bhp turbo (not looking forward to the cost)
Glad you’re enjoying it again mate. Those items are more aimed at track driving than occasional road use, it obviously doesn’t hurt to have them but you could probably spend that money elsewhere. Once you start getting to the 450hp mark, fuelling can become a bit of an issue as the pump is having to move so much fuel on full throttle. An under bonnet swirl pot could be an idea ..

thanks Adam, hope your well...
regarding the fuelling I’ve got (so far) Deutschwerks 340 fuel pump and a turbosmart fpr 800.....I will have a look at adding the swirl pot to 👍
Hello all, after advice please...as my power goal is 450bhp...no track use, don’t drive like a maniac etc....would it be best to buy the more expensive option out of these? I’m guessing for the extra 180 odd it’s worth it....thanks
