I've been on here since 2003, used to be active most days, the good old days which I miss so much! I owned 7, yes 7 various Impreza's, mostly blobeyes, one bugeye, all STi's except one WRX, 2 JDM STi's also. Every one of them a fantastic car.
Today, January 2018, I own a Golf R DSG and have actually been looking recently to try and import the latest shape WRX STi either 2014 or 2015. But sadly the total cost would be in the region of 30k as I discovered.
I'm absolutely not interested in the 2.5 engine otherwise I'd buy a UK car for around 20-21k.
Mike.Wood used to be on here most days also, he was the Technical Director of Prodrive and would always be here giving loads of good advice back in the day.
I'm 54 now and will for sure have another STi in this life!
2011
Due to retire in just over a year.
Owned an Impreza wagon every day since Sep 2000 and i don't ever want to be without one.
Because, come rain, come shine, it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
2009 and first log on for a while , never posted much but always enjoyed reading the posts and recognise a lot of usernames. Age 37 not had a Scooby for 8 years but currently in the market for a hawk wagon head says there's better cars out there now ... but heart disagrees. There's something about Subaru that gets under your skin
Not on forum a lot, no idea how long I've been a member! 50 year old, bought my first Subaru in 1984, I took delivery of one of the first Impreza's in the UK in Aug 1994, still got a Type-R that I've owned for 15 years.
Is that Old Timer enough for you :-)

Well I picked up my 4th impreza yesterday hatch wrx ( I know) but ticked boxes that I required. Decently quick although does seem to run out of puff up the rev range .Coming from an auto 9-3 turbo noobtune 250ish bhp feels similar in performance , but just more entertaining to drive. 250mile trip home was a breeze to be honest and didn't too terrible on fuel either.
I've logged in today for the first time since 2014, the time before that would probably of been in 2007 when moved away from the marque.
i joined up in in Jan '03 but bought my STi 4 way back in early '00.
There are a few names I recognise, like Alcazar, Hol and T5nyw I'm sure many more of you are were posting back then but the old grey matter ain't as good as it used to be.
The only reason I logged back on is to do a little research as I'm thinking of rejoining the fold with something like GC8 V ltd but what I really fancy is a s202.
As Matt says, I still have mine, well my second Impreza. I put a deposit down for my first in 1998 and waited a year for it to be available brand new. The second was in 2000, which I still have (swapped it because the current one had A/C). I think it has to be one of the most track driven Impreza's on here, having driven most UK circuits and a couple in Europe. It's even had Chris Harris drive it around Spa!
