What was your last phone again? Nokia? You only upgraded so the side of your phone could have glitter sparkling all day, fit for a princess.

dislike the lack of back button, the fact you cant place icons where u want them

the home button is vwry different with that strange touch thing.

screens a tad smaller than the s6 but not much.

will play more once my number goes across.

id lost all my itunes purchase, but quick online chat to apple and they were all back

A dedicated back button does simplify things, try swiping from off the screen left to right, works for most things I do.

Make sure you sign up to iCloud if you haven't already.

TouchID is great, get Apple Pay up and running.

You cleary tick all the boxes in this aspect as can be aptly demonstrated in your rambling posts here.

I could go on about Apple for another year but you still wont get it so just let me post this up.

Non fanboys will get it so dont worry too much about it.

another example of how fanboys are taken for a ride here.

Apple dont want standard Qualcomm fast charge as everyone else uses it, no profit for the snakes in cupertino.
That started off so well, almost a rational post that we can all agree on but you had to go and spoil it... Oh well.

I think even Apple would agree that one needs to purchase more than one Apple product in 5yrs to qualify as an isheep.

going by your posts Jack I would phanton a guess that your room has an assortment of gay and bondage, chasity belts and other delightful gear amongst your arsenal of Apple ipods, watches and Macbooks.

You can charge up any Android device with any charger you get on amazon / ebay and contrary to Jacks belief here not all of them have fake CE marks and compliance certification.

The S7 edge has a very cool night mode also Jack and you can charge it with any wireless charger that you wish, it also is very shiney indeed as bioforger has said.

you could probably use it as a mirror when you are polishing your **** for your next outing in fact.

Default Macolyte

Do you know what a Macolyte is? These are people who believe everything with an Apple logo on it is the best thing ever. They are the people who say to Apple “SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!” If Apple sold a robot that punched you in the face every day, the Macolytes would buy it and swear it was awesome. They are not rational. They will go to the streets and protest the evils of big business while using their iPhones — which is made by one of the biggest businesses in the world and has one of the largest markups of any product on the market — and not see the disconnect. I say that businesses don’t deserve your loyalty, make them earn your business. You should apply that rule to me too, make me earn your business. Not every person who uses Apple products is a Macolyte, in fact the majority are not.
I should emphasise that they are many normal Apple users who are not as extremist or fanatical as Jack here but it was pretty clear from the first few posts I seen of him here that he was something special.

I like Samsung products but have no problem slating them like I have done on the Note 7, nor am I opposed to buying other products from different manufacturers. I dont need to complete my life with an array of Samsung watches, laptops, VR gear nonsense, tablets or whatnot.

iPad 2 is just about end of life, but at five and a half years is the longest supported device of it's kind, beats all the iPhones too I think. My old Mum still gets by on mine, I was glad to get an Air 2 which I hope lasts just as long.

We have an iPad2 of similar age, still pretty good, but it is starting to show its age, but like you say, a good effort.

I think the early iPads were a league above other tablets of the time, but I dunno how they compare now.

I only really use it for BBC news app while eating breakfast or watching Youtube when having a dump so not really in the market for a replacement!

It's still good for that, but does weigh a ton. I know the lower end jobs like the Hudl work OK for a good while, not spectacular but get the job done for most people and not such a big deal when your cat ****s on it.

I found the first game that can slow mine down, Asphalt Xtreme, it's only when you're really going some but even normal use gets it hot.

Read an article in the sun today about a dude who dropped his iPhone in an icy lake and thought it had gone forever. Then a guy found it 18mths later with his metal detector, and after plugging it back in, it came straight back on and worked as it had done before.

I decided to plump for one for the wife to replace her HTC Desire Eye. Got a great little deal from Vodaphone including a smart watch. That's her Christmas present sorted...

Just returned my 6S Plus after 13 months for a full refund. Custom text tones from an Android device would not work, always reverting to default. They worked fine on the 6S though.

After discount too on the 7 it turns out this doesn't work either! It does look like it is a conflict, maybe an app rather than the phone or settings now though. I'll need to start the slow process of deleting pages of apps and putting them back on to attempt to eliminate the problem.

All you have to do is create a notifications folder in file manager if one doesn't exist and put your tones in there, its always worked fine on my s7e. This issue if/when it happens is a carrier firmware issue from what i've read.

Thanks, but we are talking iPhone here. Custom ringtones work fine too from all platforms but text tones don't. Again, it has to be an issue with the last thing to be tried which is the apps.

I've spent months in direct contact with Apple's so called engineers and the last update was one they had hoped would fix my issue amongst others.

When they offered a full refund I was going to jump ship but then they offered discount for the 7 too. I was assuming it would work like the 6S does and as Apple concluded, it might be a Plus issue only. Yes they'd take the 7 back and I could buy something else which might happen if it isn't sorted. For now though, I do believe it isn't an Apple issue but an app conflict problem.

Maybe someone with an iPhone 7 here could test theirs for me. Assign a friend with an Android phone a different text tone and see if it plays when they text.
