It would be madness.

Which EU country is offering to pay the dividends currently paid by the UK?

I don’t think any PM wants to be known in history books for ruining the country and since no one has any idea what brexit is how can they sort a deal on what 51% of the voters wanted.

You mean "Didn't the public speak when they voted for a hung parliament that the conservatives then fudged power with a dodgy deal with the DUP"? If you ask me, the last election didn't give the government a mandate to do what they want on Brexit, then asked parliament to work together on a Brexit that works for everyone, not just the right wing of the tories.

Theresa May put chief Brexiteer David Davis in charge of coming up with a Breit plan that works and after over two years there is still no plan and the government is tearing itself apart. What a collossal f-up the whole Brexit process has been. An election is now almost inevitable and that marxist clown Corbyn is likely to win and make an even bigger mess of Brexit than the conservatives!

And all this because a handfull of Tory backbenchers held Cameron to ransom over their fear of losing votes to a right wing extremist party that has never won a single seat in parliament!

Think you'll find they already have with the revocation of the VCAs ability to provide EU type approval after 30/03/2019 (for example).

The UK will need a fortune to fill the black hole. Problem is that money is not the only issue....the amount of time needed to fill the hole is massive.

Manufacturing bases in the UK will not bother the EU. They will simply say "open bases here or deal with all the extra burden of being in the UK" and as you know....the industries will move if it comes to it.

And the OBR have now confirmed there is no Brexit dividend as Brexit is going to cost more than what we would save. Tax rises or spending cuts are the only way to get that extra NHS funding.

Yet, the opposite is happening because the white folks who were coming from the EU are being replaced by non-white folks from non-EU countries, as the latest statics show EU migration is down which non-EU migration is up by the same amount!

Japanese will get cheaper cheese, such as Parmesan, gouda and cheddar, as well as chocolate and biscuits."

It hardly sells the benefits of such a deal, unless you're in to cheese or beer
jeez you really are stupid,

yes what great deal for the EU they get access to Japans market for chemicals, clothing, cosmetics and food - as the quote then says securing jobs in the EU

Chemicals companies' in the UK waning the benefit of the trade deal with Japan will move jobs / investment into the EU (we know this because it is already happening)

and fvck me how many times do you idiots need to be told - we can have a FTA with Europe, that's what the EU have said time and time again

it will be based on the Canada deal - and it will mean barriers to trade and a loss of the benefits around frictionless trade we already enjoy with the EU27

but it seems the UK has still not got the message - the EU will not, for clearly obvious reasons give us the benefits of EU membership when we leave

I don't know what is so hard to grasp

They've become like Sour belly, angry, lashing out at anyone.

Beware though, next they will want to become friends so we can work to a common desired result.

What they mean return to being in the customs union and single market

It's not lashing out, but there is, and always has been, realities to leaving the EU, and a continued relationship with the EU, that Leave refuses to acknowledge.

There does seem to be a wide (miss)conception that you are either pro or anti EU and then you get labelled with assumptions about what you think about various things, i.e. further up this page, you are called a racist for all intent and purposes if you wanted to leave.

If the EU had stuck to being good at the very thing that most people want to argue about, i.e trade, then we probably wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. However there are elements of the EU membership who would like to see it become a "United States of Europe" and all that goes with being that - and sadly that is not something I wish to accept. The Brexit mess alone has highlighted how much the EU does control and influence our lives on a daily basis and that would(will) only increase as time does on to the point that leaving would become impossible rather than mess it is now.

There are also realities to staying in the EU that people who wish to remain refuse to acknowledge, one being that we'd have to adopt the Euro at some point. And that would trigger another polar debate.

No it's sourness, having spent months trying to tie the government into basically staying in the EU(BRINO) .Now it's steering away from this desired outcome.

It was always obvious the relationship was going to change and some of the freedoms and benefits we to be lost. But that doesn't matter, the UK is leaving the EU completely and a new different relationship with it is inevitable. The UK should of gone straight to WTO arrangements and all this crap would of been avoided. companies would of known exactly where they stood, .they could leave or adapt.

There is not a 'cat in hells chance' of the UK signing up to a United States of Europe' or the Euro, it's just nonsense to suggest it.

Of course, but we are not staying, so they are a moot point. The reality is that we are leaving, so some of the harsh realities of that need to be addressed, yet all we here are soundbites of "WTO" "hard Brexit" without actually trying to come up with a plan to mitigate the disruption they will cause.

You say that, but to extend many an argument that has been on here and elsewhere, we would just be labelled as wanting to pick and choose what membership of the EU means. And so it goes on......

The Uk has spend the past 40 years wanting to have all the benefits of a non-member, now we're leaving we want all the benefits of a member.
