I figured that a car forum would have a strong affiliation with jets (given the speed and noise) and so thought this topic would be very emotive given the pride people in the UK place on their armed forces and you didn't disappoint

Sorry to have spun a bit of a line but I needed to make sure the research was authentic and without prejudice

I hope you enjoyed the added misspelling touch in the header but no-one really came back on me in terms of the explanation I provided.........

Some really nice pictures added though which is a real bonus

Using the DVLA reccomended "2 second rule", around three quarters of a mile.

I'd hazard a guess it's actually considerably less but working it out would require some pretty serious (and interesting) research/maths.

*turns out you need 0.4 of a mile to land one. Also turns out you can download a sales brochure, who'd have thunk it.

Less than a WRX on standard brakes from 60mph

Seriously?

To garner any real data for the type of research you mention, you would have needed to let this thread run for at least another 20 pages.

Considering the fact that the majority of members that responded are quite opinionated and quick to judge, the data you have is not a true reflection on the community as a whole.

But nice try mate
