Default Brakes squeal and Jet noise

Hi all,

My brembo brakes are squealing at low speeds, the previous owner told me it does this due to him fitting performance pads. They also make a noise like a jet taking off when braking at high speeds. Is this normal for performance pads? Or is it time to change them? There is plenty of meat left on the, I'm thinking maybe they just need taking out and cleaning? Or perhaps they are missing shims etc?

Thanks all

Yes performance pads can squeal...are the discs grooved as that'll explain the jet noise too lol, you can take the pads out clean them up and file the sharp edges off which will reduce the squeal but it'll come back in time..

Yeah the discs are grooved, that will explain the jet noise lol I changed the pads today with standard road brembo pads, I won't be doing track days in it anytime soon so i'd rather have them quiet, can always put the other pads back on if I decide to do some track time
