Default Homemade trackers, events, theft.

Homemade trackers being stuck on cars at show events...

Just take car when going to events, give your car a good check over..

TBH that's not a bad idea, it would definitely get the police interested in catching the scum

I'd actually be pretty happy if I found one of these.

There's a few things you can do:
1. Park your car in a secured thief trap. ANYONE that goes near it trips a bear trap and bleeds out.
2. Put your own tracker on it. Once taken, bring a crew to do some wet work.

Thieves like this are scum. I'd happily cut their hands off myself.

This was found between the wing and arch liner on an Escort Cosworth. Some other guys car was stolen and his friend found one on his mk1. He removed it left the car elsewhere and his garage was broken into that night. Can't have anything these days!

Well at least that will sort out my 2.5 engine issues once and for all

Some would say that the 2.5 is an uncontrolled explosion FROM THE INSIDE!

There aren't any arch liners on mk1 escorts.. or mk2, or mk3...

happend to a good friend of fine. new q7 was repossed for going against some terms of the finance agreement. car went to bca auction london. he ended paying in full for the car, when returned, in 3 days it was stolen like a magic trick.

someone from the auction house attached there own tracker as some interior panels were loose when vehicle returned.

Just leave a mobile under the seat with the Find My Phone App switched on.

This is not rocket science and I am surprised at how naive people are. I bet they are the same one's who leave the geotag switched on when they take photo's on their smartphones of their car on the drive.

You can buy portable trackers off the shelf, magnetic base, payG data sim, internal battery. Etc. It's not new tech...I've been fitting trackers on and off for well over a decade now and these units existed back then.

One in the link looks like it's been modified to increase the battery life. Or was a cheap version without a internal battery so the 9v batteries were added.
