dpb talked about being in peoples pocket. I pointed out he is. Whether you accept his views or not, THE INTEREST SHOULD BE DECLARED. In the video, HE DID NOT. He merely claims he is a remain voter, not that he receives money from the EU.
Of course people (and media outlets) have biases. Everyone knows where UKIP stands. In that video the guy purports to be an independent academic, WHEN HE IS BEING PAID BY THE EU. THAT IS NOT INDEPENDENT.
To not declare the interest is FRAUDULENT
Hope that helps (God knows you need it)

I was pondering the other day what hilarious EU-bashing anecdotes we might have been treated to over the past few weeks (and tonight) if the presenter line-up of Top Gear hadn't unexpectedly changed when it did, and was pretty gob-smacked to discover that Jezza is an unwavering Remainer.

Thing is you can't really have your cake , and eat it
Not even if you're one the Epsom elite

Pretty disgraceful that 'The Star' is blatantly using the death of Jo *** to try and justify a case for remain, just look at the headline, absolutely disgusting.

No doubt 'The Star' is a popular publication for Remain voters such as Martin2005.
It's going to be a close call for Thursday, and I really believe this is going to be one of the most important democratic votes most people will ever make, and ironically democracy is essentially what is at stake here.

Don't you think it's a bang on timely exposure? This sort of stuff would beg his clarification and would lead to his defamation. Had he clarified in advance for his change of heart, he'd have saved his @rse. I know a lot of Joey Bloggers change their position every now and again, but changing position on such a passionate matter for his own political gain doesn't suit a mature and educated politician. What a plonker he is.
I'm sure some can provide links to his previous and very trustworthy speeches where he said that he loved to be in EU once upon a time but in last three years, he has fallen out of the love of this love. I'm sure he has given many a reasons for that e.g. uncontrollable EU immigration (best chat up line to get the 'out' vote from the ones who can't see any further than that) and of course, his newly charged love for the PM's throne. What a backstabber opportunist he is. All politicians are believed to be like that, but he's looking worse than all of them atm.

Well, I certainly wouldn't think it more likely he'd be a Leaver if he was a raving Labourite, would you? In any case, party alliegiances aside, the real surprise for me comes from the fact he's always been such an outspoken critic of civil servants generally, and bureaucratic overreach in particular. Both of these of course being among the key reasons a lot of people are in favour of leaving.

If you're in for a penny, may as well have the pound to. Where's the harm in adding even more uncertainty to the markets.

The problem with a general election is who to vote for. They are all a bunch of self serving shytes so it's not a case of voting for the best, there is no best, it's a vote for the least worst

And if we left, is there any current electable mainstream politician that could be trusted to renegotiate a fair deal with the EU, and also address UK issues?
I'll answer that as its rhetorical...No there isn't.
There maybe some amongst the back benches but having one with the correct vision and the skill to implement it is a rare thing.
One reason why I am part anti-UKIP is due to the party being partly made up of crackpot fruit loops and inexperienced/novice politicians and I wouldn't want them negotiating EU agreements. And it's a moot point anyway as due to our voting system they will never be a leading party.
So that leaves Con and Lab. Cameron's negotiations has already shown how weak he is in this aspect, his replacement? Who knows, Boris? He'll just ruffle feathers. As for Labour, Corbyn is a visionary but a maligned one and doesn't have the ***** to tackle the bully tactics the EU is likely to serve on us if we leave.

Well wrong again, a common theme amongst the Bremain lot it seems! Based on the Bremain lots arguments on this thread I would've guessed they read mostly The Star, The Guardian and The Beano.

Not to forget that in the attempt at scraping the bottom of the barrel of reasons to insult leave voters, we've been aggressively told in this thread that on no uncertain terms the Euro 2016 football hooligans are voting leave....
Slight issue....unless they've already done their postal vote or go home early....they won't be voting!

I thought Cameron failed miserably in last nights debate.
The "biggy" was his refusal to veto Turkey if they were proposed for EU membership.
His so called "reforms" remain subject to EU approval post referendum .
Immigration remains a hot potato that he does not want to go into any discussion on - He always reverted back to the economy.
All in all a negative response from the prime minister for the remain campaign and I would guess a few points swing to the leave contingent .

Cameron, Osborne and your hero Corbyn?
ALL THREE have given interviews slating the EU, now all three are in the remain camp. The snake Corbyn hasn't had a good word to say about it until he became leader, so lets not talk rubbish eh?
And there's three more good reasons to vote OUT!!!

Just read the Guardians comments of Cameron's last night appearance on question time.
Comment after comment on how terrible he was. Evading comments, refusing to back a veto on Turkey. He couldn't even defend non EU migration numbers or explain how to reduce. Neville Chamberlain comparison.
As many quoted “a complete car crash” interview.
