Ah right okay thanks mate so would changing the turbo to a vf43 one be a good replacement? Just looking, and i would probably be spending about 2k on upgrades, and i will be doing a full service as soon as i get it.

 

blob would be my choice as well, the 2.5 will give you the 300ftlbs easily but the 2.0 will be much easier to live with. Panel filter, hybrid TD04, STI pinks and a decat will see your goal and you'll easily pickup a suspension kit to get you going round bends how you should do.

 

No idea mate. But to make it clear about the gearbox I ment after 2002. I think some eirly 2003 blobs have bug eye gearboxes but anything after about midyear should have the 4aa. Good luck

JDM Hawk is a 2.0 I believe, not sure how easy the WRX is to source though.

 

Yeah, 2 litre. Was looking at a jdm hawk wagon on autotrader last week. Cheaper tax too.
