I'm tempted to have a rant here too...As when I get back home I switch on teh TV and what is on?...Emmerdale (is it on later now as I always used to miss this shyte), Eastenders, 1 HOUR of Coronation street split in two halves, and to top it off 2 HOURS of Midsomer Murders! Then punctuated by News repeating exactly what I heard this morning, speculative drivel and several weather forecasts from two different presenters and both are wrong

FFS how inane is primetime TV nowadays that al it comprises of is soaps and a murder (not so) mystery series that could easily be edited to make it half an hour. Who watches all of this shyte?

So I turn over to to the lesser mainstream channels to find "yet another" panel quiz show with comedians (funny at first, but it gets old quick), some ancient repeat, or a witty sitcom that is neither witty nor funny (anyone seen Crash? Don't watch it Alcazar, the star/writer borrowed Jasmin's teeth ). Or if I'm lucky I see a nature program presenting random expert's conclusions as a fact of how we are killing the planet by cherry picking evidence and Attenborough croaking on about how the BBC should fund all his whimsical needs (although it appear EastEnders is getting more of a priority).

All is not totally lost thought...I've found out how to stream video from my iPhone to my Telly without the need of any box or gadget

BBC riles me too. I used to enjoy getting home with the kids and falling asleep to CBBC, now that's on another channel.
Tonight, one BBC1 we have: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcone/programmes/schedules/london
An antiques prog, two non-celeb celebs on holiday in Haworth, Antiques road trip, Pointless, News, Local news, One show (utter pap!!!), Eastenders, Brief news, Dickensian, Room 101, Death in Paradise, News, Local News, weather, Question Time, this week.

So sandwiched between TWO antiques progs and TWO politics shows, quite a lot of News, some pap and one drama, one which follows the Christie formula of getting everyone in a room and accusing each until someone says, "It's a fair cop, guv!"

Then on BBC2, we have: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctwo/programm...edules/england

Basically documentaries.......

ITV is no better. I finish work late, have a pint at the pub, grab a pizza on the way home, get back home, sit down, put TV on....

It's 8:00 and what's on ITV??

F*****g Emmerdale!

I nearly threw the pizza at the TV as I thought I was home late enough to miss all of this shyte, but I was hungry so I flipped the TV onto a nice episode of Roadkill (via YouTube).

We have over a hundred channels, (Virgin M+).

Some nights there's not a thing to watch, esp friday and saturday, (since they think everyone goes out), unless you like American forensic dramas (????), fly on the wall cop stuff or utter pap.

One night, NCIS was on SEVEN of my channels. Is it really that good?????????

The wife watches Eastenders 4 nights a week but I can live with that as means I get control of the remote for the rest of the evening.

Currently binge watching Sons of Anarchy on sky box sets. Half way through season 6 and its great but some brutal scenes.

My favourite TV Show is also american. Survivor - just done its 31st season and still top of the ratings. They tried a UK version but it fell flat on its ****. Probably because the host in the US makes the show and has done all seasons. You cant watch it over here so I have to source it from eBay.

That does make me laugh, you can basically guarantee that at any given time NCIS will be on somewhere. Mind you it's worth a watch if you're after something light hearted and basically mindless to have on in the background.

I cannot watch ANY of the so-called forensic detectives.

Do they REALLY expect us to believe that foresnsic techs carry guns and sTILL do all the tech work?

That they go onto sites with long hair hanging loose and no coveralls or bootees?

Utter sh!te.

And don't even START on DNA results in ten minutes........ I knew Americans were thick and gullible, but didn't realise they were as bad as THAT!

You really do take life far too seriously. You'd enjoy yourself much more if you relaxed a little.
