2004 WRX V-Limited.

Best Scooby ever made imo. STI looks but faster lb for lb, lighter and better on fuel. Cheaper insurance and maintenance costs to boot.

I would sell my left bollock for this car

500 made

I'd be happy with a JDM WRX but the V-Limited has the STI styling, which I love. I think the JDM WRX might be harder to find than a V-limited though.

I'd never buy an STI though. Just not enough power gets through to the wheels.

The WRX weighs 100kg less and has better/longer gearing

Don't let this thread turn into another wrx/sti debate

100kgs you sure about that, it's actually 75

Why would I need to...both the cars you mention I have owned, sold the blob Spec-C and have a Hawk now.

...and the one before those two was a WRX, just sayin.

There is no debate Dave in reality :P

I was referring to the WRX/STI comment

It depends what you want from a car

If I wanted a spec c I'd buy one, If I wanted a 22B I'd buy one. I'd rather spend £30k on a house extension out of my bank account (like I'm doing)

Sti :1475 kg

Wrx:1385 kg

So 90 less

What years, parkers says 1395kg for a blob WRX and 1475 for an STi...so that's 80kg

Fair enough Dave and exactly that each to his own, I don't need an extension

with equal BHP the newage WRX is faster and has better MPG than the STI

For better performance, the spec C or a classic type R

If you want a track based car, buy the cheapest, good shell you can find. Then fit all the good bit's to it (uprated ARB's, Brakes, suspension, engine, turbo, tyres, etc)

This thread is rapidly turning into yet another 'WRX vs STi' episode. Wtf is going on with this forum?
