I used something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25-SMALL-2...item1e988d6901 to wire it and plugged them in to the clock wiring and saves cutting in to the wires

Update: so decided to install my boost gauge today after work, took some figuring out how to get the vacuum pipe in the cab, found the rubber bung to the left under the tmic and opened it up, sure enough it leads right to the drivers footwell so put a hole through the rubber bung and fed it inside. Now here's where I started to pull my hair out haha how to get the pipe to the drivers A pillar??? I started to take the dash apart and thought this can't be right! So I managed to feed it somewhere up near the pillar, then if you pull on the pillar from the top it pops right off and you can poke the pipe up and onto the dash. By this time I had lost all daylight so I called it a day, I'll get it finished tomorrow tho for sure as all I need to do is wire it to the clock and connect the vacuum pipe to the inlet manifold using the T-piece then mount the pod to the pillar.

You have to use the force to make any wires or hoses go across the dash, through no mans land

I had to extend the wires on the boost gauge by soldering some longer ones on last night so they can reach the clock. I'm going to tackle it again shortly.

I hope it's running some massive boost at the end of all this

Haha not as of yet she's not. It's very easy to fit them once you've done it once. Takes no more than 30 mins max.

Got it all hooked up and it's working, think it might have a boost leak as its only boosting 0.5 bar!?????? Car is mapped and running 280bhp so surely it should be boosting more than that.

more like 1.3 bar I would've thought. Could you have knocked one of the boost solenoid lines off maybe or whereabouts is the tap for the gauge, just off the dump valve vac line or off the manifold?

Regardless of what pressure it should be going by what power you have, 0.5bar isn't right. I think that's WG spring pressure.

Have you got another gauge just to confirm yours is working properly?

No mate I dont. I'm going to get my local subaru specialist to run a diagnostic test and see if it picks up anything.

Have a look at the small vacuum hoses around the engine and just make sure they're secure and not split, damaged or kinked anywhere.

I've checked everything and there's no kinks splits or nothing!

I've connected the wires to the clock, Ignition and earth.

I meant pnuematicly not electrically.
If your car is running 7psi of boost it will feel very slow indeed. Standard boost is 14psi
