Matt, what I know about windsurfing is that it's a very difficult thing to do.
A Londoner banker mate of ours does it for a hobby, and is bleddy good at it. As you know, North Wales has a few places where you can enjoy watersports, so he often brought his gear when he visited us; before permanently moving to Bangkok with his job. Once we took him to Bala Lake for his activity where Mr. Turbohot also had a go at windsurfing. He tried his best but every time he fell on his @rse in water, looking high up at the sail bit. One of the funniest moments of Mr. T in 'mission impossible' action. He tried and tried and tried, but couldn't windsurf for his life! Couldn't get the hang of it at all. We still laugh about it when we look back sometimes.

A good instructor really helps but us blokes are often too stubborn to get one! I had surf coaching not long ago (having surfed for 25 years) and it was very handy - got more planned soon.
I do like that area of Wales too!

I have sailed a few epic days at Rhosneigr back in the day - swells the size of houses
and in fact was one of the coldest days windsurfing I have ever experienced was at Llandadrig, over the back of Anglesey - it took me 30 mins to get my Wetsuit off, and that was in early April
I was just back from Maui though, so a bit of a contrast

I remember surfing a remote spot in a terrible wetsuit years ago - also took over half an hour to remove the suit - I was genuinely so frustrated, I very nearly cried!

Forgot to mention, not just guys, but hats off to Matt's good lady as well. She's hard as nails to have done that Santa surfing event. I wouldn't even get out of my duvet these days unless I have to, which I have to.

I don't get uncomfortable just by looking or seeing or even hearing such words. I'm not that under-exposed. If you think like that by reading between the lines, think again, and re-structure your cognitive processing. Fact is that I use many profanities and some words of that sort many times myself. But not all the time. What I don't like is the 'unnecessary' use of the innuendos and sexual references; may they be in humour or else. When I say 'unnecessary', I mean 'excessive'. I don't. The example is when someone says after looking at the picture of your cat- "Thanks for showing me you *****". That is very annoying, as they think it's funny and clever whereas it's downright rude in a chavvy way to me.
But that's just me. Free cvntry. Do what you like. You means anyone who does what he/she likes.
However, my cats are sitting inside the empty boxes of Christmas gifts on the Boxing Day today. I must give them a boot as I need to clear up.
Have a good Boxing Day, you and all.

I watched The Experiment on the Boxing Day along with some forgettables. I know it's not a new film, and despite receiving mediocre internet reviews it was a good effort, I thought. I am partial to Adrian Brody since The Pianist, anyway. He may be quite lanky, but he has such kindness and infantile need in his eyes. Makes you feel very sorry for him, even when he may not want you to feel so.
Back to some other things in relation to Christmas, I am so astonished that no one talked about the snow on the Boxing Day. Shame it was a day late, but it didn't half cover this end. It continue to snow today as well. I had to get out with a shovel to move it all off my drive, but the snowfall covered it again. I've managed to get out this evening and bought more foods to stock. I hear there's more on its way. I bet some guys here got winter tyres as their Christmas prezzie, and they should be ok in snow and all that.

Oh, really? If that's the case, I'm even more amazed that no one talked about snow here on SN. As I say, it could be that most here are armed with their invincible, hard as nails winter tyres, so it hardly matters to them whether it rains or snows. They'd laugh at the face of snow, HA!
