I gave up arguing with my girlfriend in the end! She wanted it up in the weekend just gone but I managed to delay it by two days so we got it on the 1st. It's our first real tree together and I must admit, I do like it. My parents have always had (and still got) their articifical tree. We don't go wild with the decorations though, a tree and reef on the front door does nicely :).

Hey! Merry Christmas to you, all! :luxhello:

I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for the **** music everyone insists on playing every year. I swear there must be some unspoken law that says Christmas songs must be crap. :brickwall

The only things I like is the food and time off work

...Which, er, is about 67% of it LOL! :cuckoo:

No family, Joz?

joz8968 03 December 2014 01:10 PM

On my own.

Brother and sister both live in my original hometown, Braintree.

Mum, Dad and all close aunties/uncles all deceased.

Hey, Joz! James has invited you anyway, but remember if that doesn't work out, you can always come to ours on Christmas as well. I won't have anyone spending Christmas on their own. Just that send me your recent picture beforehand and a copy of your most recent DBS check so that I know I've got the right one in our house, and to prove that you ain't some axe murderer Christian Bale from American Psycho.:D No fear of any church going at all here, so I don't need to give you any word for it.

Saying all that , you can be on your own, and be the strongest and most fulfilled. We all arrive alone and depart alone, at the end of the day.

Have a good one. :thumb:

Thanks for posting the vid, which refuses to play on my iPhone. Which one is you, James? :D

Fact is, you know what I mean. Besides, everyone isn't fortunate to have a twin.

Click the writing bit at the top. You need to see it, Swati.

Turbohot 03 December 2014 08:14 PM

Just seen it. It's beautiful, James. :)

joz8968 03 December 2014 08:49 PM

I appreciate the kind words. :)

I didn't intend to come across as self-pitiful when I mentioned I live in my own. I quite enjoy my own (albeit vague, lol) company actually...... Which is just as well, really LOL! :thumb:

The words were just humane, Joz. There was no self-pity in your words, nor did we speak our words out of any pity.

Good that you enjoy your own company. Not all, but many people are simply in a wrong company because they're either trophy displayers, weak or have Stockholm Syndrome. Be with good people, if you have to be. Otherwise, enjoy living as the strongest with your 'on own' status.

Look at George Clooney. He didn't give a hoot to be a 'double' until he met someone right. You can be a George Clooney, you know. :D

Us humans are indeed social animals, and you come across as a genuine people's person types, which is good. :)
