I'm not on Facebook but a mate on here text me before and told us. I never knew or met him but read a lot his posts and what a nice genuine bloke he came across to be. Always helpful to people giving advice etc on his skill and knowledge of Cars.
Thought go out to All his Family, Friends and Colleagues.
Will be sadly missed.

Cant believe he's actually gone. It was only a couple of days or so ago I was talking to him on Facebook.
Simon was such a lovely guy.
R.I.P, God has only taken him as he needed his Subaru mapped!

Life can be so cruel cant it? I never met Simon but knew a few who always said who good he was at mapping.
I feel very sorry for close members of his family.

Shocked to find this... The JGM beast gave me hours of entertainment reading his thread on the build and I always imagined what it must be like to have that kind of knowledge on a vehicle. Dude you will be missed by so many, rest in peace.

Gutted to hear this very sad news.
If my car was ever to be mapped again, he was going to be my first port of call. The amount of people praising his talents and nobody ever having a bad word to say of him speaks volumes.
Rip simon, my deepest sympathy goes out to you children, family and friends.

Right come on guys, i never knew him other than a few conversations on SN but it seems clear to me that he was a great guy that was liked and loved by the community and more.
If someone that knew him well was good enough to take the lead i would we be willing to send Ģ5 or what ever in the post for some flowers etc and maybe something for his family.
Lets show his family and more importantly his kids how much daddy meant to others.

Horrid news, met simon many a time usually bending over backwards to fit me in for mapping even though he was far too busy, remember only a few months ago me driving from scotland to just outside leeds and mapping my car outside the hotel where he was staying going up and down the road along from the hotel with some very annoyed looks from folk when the antilag was running lol Rip simon gone far too soon

Sad to hear this news...
I donīt know what to say, i just met him once in austria at a mapping session and e-mailed him several times.
Always helpful and a very nice guy.
Condolences to his family, RIP

Can't believe he's gone
It's a tremendous loss which I know will be felt in the community (both Subaru and Mitsubishi) for a long time.
Simon was a genuine friendly guy who always had time for people, and formed friendships with many people who started out as his customers just like myself.
It's just very unfair he was taken so soon and I feel very sad for his wife and girls, it must be heartbreaking.
He'll be sorely missed, still can't believe it
