Such sad and awful news.

RIP Simon - and thank you for the generosity of your advice.

My thoughts are firmly with your family and friends at this sad time.

Not many can say they were so very well respected by those who'd not even met you. Amongst the top in your game...

Haven't logged in for some time prior to now but felt I needed to write something.

Such sad sad news hearing the news yesterday.
Haven't seen Simon in just over a year since leaving the scene and personally feel awful I hadn't made any effort since then.

Simon was not only a great mapper with incredible skills but in short, was a great honest genuine guy that you would call a gentleman with a great sense of humor. He will leave a huge , huge void within the Subaru community and an even bigger void to his family and close friends. He gave a lot of time to both whilst mixing with his passion and daily requirements. During that he would go beyond to assist you with help or advise.

Rest in peace dear boy. It was an honor to have known you .

It's sure is a cruel world, I never met Simon but He mapped loads of my engines/cars, one Customer phoned me after His mapping and Simon had really praised my build, this meant alot to me, coming from him :-)
We would all love to leave our mark before we go onto better places, Simon certainly done that

Absolutely gutted. What a top bloke. Very patient and always happy to politely answer any amount of stupid questions via email or when he was busy trying to work on my car.

He mapped my car for the second time only a few weeks ago and achieved more power than I previously thought possible.

Was on the fence about doing any more mods and this has decided it for me. I think I'll leave it just as he left it.

Sweet dreams mate.

Was after a JGM sticker anyway, but would love one even more now.

If anyone knows how to get hold of one please post on here - thanks

Default Sad Goodbye to a real Gentleman

I will remember Simon for his true dedication.

"Now see what we can get out of 3rd , but lets take it easier on the roundabout this time."

Simon just 10 days out after OP , but still came up to West Yorks for me.

Last orders Cheers Simon , sorry that the last one was on me.

Really sad news. Simon's map on the Spec D still puts a smile on my face every time I use the car.

Deeply saddened by this news which I read on my local forum yesterday evening.

The fact that is 6 pages long as of now is testament to how big a loss this is to our community.

My sincere condolences to Simon's family.

My car was mapped by Simon in Feb, and it's an honour to drive a car touched by JGM

Simon mapped a few of my cars in the 10 years ive been on Scoobynet, always happy to help, and always quick to reply to any problems you might have, Really shocked at the news.

R.I.P Simon, and thoughts go out to your family.

I can't add anymore than what has been written on this thread - I did not know him personally, only through his thoughtful, knowledgeable and considered posts

My condolences to his familly, a much loved man, taken too early by that indiscriminate wicked disease

Lets show his family and more importantly his kids how much daddy meant to others.
good idea, I'm willing to donate too.

Very sad news. I only ever spoke to Simon on SN but he was always very helpful, probably giving too much help to us non paying diy-ers.

My abiding memory will be him grinning when he accidentally ran over my foot at TOTB.

Didn't know him as well as others do, but, of the times I did see him like at TOTB, I don't recall ever not seeing smiling.

He was a genuinely happy person, and will be sorely missed.

A great loss to the Subaru community, always willing to give advice and answer my idiot questions.

I only met him on a few occasions when mapping my car but came across as one of the nice guys.

My condolences to his family and friends.
