Only just seen this as I don't come on her often these days. Gutted to hear about this sad news, Simon was a top mapper & a top bloke too, he looked after my cars mapping over the last few years & I was always very happy with the results. Simon was open with me about his condition & I knew the cancer was spreading but I thought he had years left, not weeks. He mapped my car only a few weeks before he died & although I knew he was Ill he looked well & was as cheery as ever. RIP Simon, my thoughts are with you & your family.

Only just seen this having been away for 6 months. Simon did my car and In fact I hung around Surrey rolling road most of the afternoon and helped move a few tyres around etc. just so I could spend as much time around the guy as possible.

He took the time to send me some quite lengthy e-mails answering my questions about how to best prepare the car for the session.

I was in awe of what he did. What a terrible shame.

Whaa..? Been out for maybe 8 months or so, busy on getting our new house build. I came to the UK to get my car done by Simon and he was extreme on every level; extreme knowledge, extreme friendly person, ....

He mapped by 2010 STI, thanks again!

The JGM will be tearing up drag strips in his memory!

Really gutted! Only heard it yesterday. Not been on here in months.

He mapped my car for the 2nd time last summer. Nothing but good words for this man. His mapping was sure worth the trip to the UK!

He will be missed, don't know who to go to for mapping my car next time.

Default Incredulous

Echo all the comments about Simon being a Gentleman and shock & sadness on his passing.

He would have appreciated that just an hour ago I rescued my wife and 2 kids in a broken down Discovery 2 and towed her home in a 97 Classic mapped by JGM.

I never did get a JGM sticker, wonder if there's any appetite to do a tribute one, like was done for Colin McRae, funds to family or charity?
