Terrible news. He was much respected at this end. We never met, but we had a few dealings like you do in this tiny world and always found him friendly and professional.

Omg what a evil world we live in! Never met the man but read nothing but good things about his abilities!

Rip and condolence to his family. Another member of the subaru family taken too soon!

Dubzy 17 November 2014 04:45 PM

Wow..shocked to say the least and so soon after his last announcement. My thoughts go out to the family and hope they take some comfort in the fact that he was a very highly respected and liked person and considered a guru.

As busy as he was he was always willing to help out and share his knowledge to most who asked. It will be another sad loss to the subaru community...

Terrible news, really awful.

cookstar 17 November 2014 04:54 PM

Very sad news indeed.:(

I had only known Simon for a short while, but he has been so helpful and patient with answering the many many questions I fired at him.

I really felt like I learnt a lot from him, and for that I'm grateful.

My thoughts are with his family right now.

RIP

ukjesters 17 November 2014 05:01 PM

Still pretty much speechless.

Simon was a great mapper, more more importantly he was a great man.
Never had a bad word for anyone, and never had a bad word said about him.

He will be sadly missed

RIP Si, thoughts are with his family, friends, and anyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
