I have a Samsung TV, I just press the button. Sometimes use it for YouTube that's about it. Apple TV is better.

As I said, I go directly to my TV for YouTube and sometimes Netflix, I have better options for most things. I've had the TV stream to my iPad too, but it's not great.

Upgrade on power consumption alone? Really? Why power consumption, does the previous version use an inordinate amount of electricity?

Licence fees are licence fees at the end of the day.

Mind you it says a lot about Android users that they don't bother trying to charge them. after all profit is profit.

It will be interesting to see what the adoption rate is, both by stores and the end consumers. It could be a big failure, an Apple has had some corkers in it's past (Newton anyone?), but these days they do seem to be better than they were, and I don't think they'd be doing it unless they knew it would have a very good chance of working.
The adoption rate maybe about to take a hit (at least in the UK) with one of Apple's payment partners doing this:

I'm sure other card issuers will follow. Maybe Apple will get more NFC units in stores, but looks like the card issuers will benefit more since they will replace their users card with these new ones and will see greater usage as it will do both chip and pin and NFC payments.

And your finger? You don't know how good Touch ID is, especially now other apps can use it, 1password was always good, now it's epic.

Take a hit, LOL. That's going to speed things up, shameful that it's not on all Android phones but that's a tough one to crack.

I don't, hence your comment about leaving your phone laying around is moot.

That is what I mean, Apple might encourage and promote the use of NFC technology in stores, but not all NFC enabled stores will use Apple Pay, it's a win-win for card issuers and card users who don't need Apple Pay. I guarantee you will always take your wallet with cash and card out with you despite Apple Pay hence why it will never be the most used payment system in the world.

How? You need the phone and your fingerprint. Like I said last week, have a read about what you're constantly commenting on, it'll save you looking such a donkey.

So you're saying that stores will choose to make it more difficult for their customers, you really do need a reality check, this will be a tick in the box for retailers with what's now common equipment.

Have a look here http://ingenico.us/# you might see some familiar products.

Yes say I have my phone but not my wallet, I want to pay for something at a store you're convinced won't adopt Apple Pay, that becomes difficult. Are you five?

Do realise how ridiculous that sounds? Next you'll be telling us it's the stores fault for you forgetting your wallet!

You should stop. Honestly you're making yourself seem dim.

Stores will do anything to take my money, I can pay in Bitcoin or via PayPal if I want, but you think they won't adopt Apple Pay. It launches tomorrow, watch and learn.
