Yeah got stung £17. Not too bad, they marked it as less than I paid anyway so I didn't have to pay more.
Billet 20G 7+7 blade with extended tips. It's like a work of art, it's a shame it'll be tucked up in the turbo where it can't be seen.

3" to 2.5" decat downpipe ordered. Just need some exhaust wrap and a Silicone intake pipe and it'll be ready to go together (once the turbo is built).

Just dropped it off for it's MOT. See how it does on emissions this year. Last year it just scraped through but it had a 2.1 lump and a map for a 2.0 engine and a few other teething issues. So fingers crossed .

So it failed on Emission, middle rear seat belt not latching and a numberplate light.
Emissions were:
CO: 6.79
HC: 60
Lambda: 0.829
Not good... So I popped back up to the MOT station, seat belt was because the guy was trying to put the latch in backwards, so that was resolved. Changed the numberplate bulb.
Then got the cat stinking hot and the emissions were then:
CO: 0.20
HC: 28
Lambda: 1.023
So it passed

Well that's what I was thinking too, my cast wheels is 6+6, so it should have similar flow properties, and possibly a bit more. It not going to be a massive difference, won't be getting a remap.
Badicay my cast wheel wasn't the best, slightly worn around the edges and the tips of the inducer are rounded off. Looking for a more effecient wheel that ain't gona heat the air up so much with leakage etc.

The billet wheels have a thinner central hub so have more surface area, also with the extended tips too. I should think a map tweak might be an idea? If not make sure you log your AFR's before and after?
I don't have that issue as I'm going straight to a billet 20G so it'll need mapping full stop.

Decat downpipe arrived yesterday. Looks really good for the money. Need to get some exhaust wrap for it. Turbo rebuild kit should be arriving in the next day or so.
Then just need a silicone turbo inlet. Expensive month this month though as I've bought a new carpet, Sofa and have to tax the car. And the Mondeo needs a service. So might have to wait another month .

Have the rebuild kit now. Looks great, everything is individually bagged. So I'll be able to strip and build the turbo and get that ready.

Do you know the torque setting for the nut? 100 lb ins rings a bell, not sure what that was in ftlb

80 inch lbs I think. I'll probably just mark the shaft with a paint pen and go with that as you can bend the shaft if you over tighten.
I'll probably take my time a bit I think, so bit longer than 30 mins for me lol.

Honestly it's a piece of cake, nut off, comp wheel off, turbine out the back, couple of screws and bits, swap some bearings, put it back together, remember and take plenty pics 👍

Have you miked the hieght of them both? A thou here and there will make a massive difference on angular torque.
Use a drop of loctite too, you can't go wrong.
Just make sure there is plenty oil in the cartridge before you start it up.

New daily ****ter has arrived.
So I got a bit bored of using the Mondeo, 50Mpg is great but I'm not actually doing that many miles and working from home 4 days a week so it just sits doing nothing. Fancied something with a bit more comfort, bit quicker (although that's debatable lol), bit more fun to drive but not completely terrible on fuel for when it gets used for work journeys etc.
I'd been seeing what was around locally for a few weeks for cheapness as it's still just my daily ****ter, and saw an E46 320i SE touring pop up a 5 minute drive from where I live. So I went and had a look, it was pretty tidy, full service history, 12 months MOT, tons of receipts & ran sweetly. Seller told me he'd end it for a grand, I didn't think it would make a grand so said I'd take my chances on the auction. So £870 later is what you see below .
It's Topaz blue, full grey leather interior, ice cold climate control, horrific alloys, 5 speed manual box and a 2.2L 170 Bhp M54 lump that has no torque whatsoever but loves a good thrashing. It's just been serviced also, it's on 147k miles and runs so smoothly you can't really even tell its on. It's no minter, drivers rear arch has a scab of rust on it, some rusty stone chips here and there but for the money it's bang on
Need to sort a couple of bits on it, the intake hose that connects to the airbox is ruined, I've taped it up for now, and the passenger side front kidney grille is broken and held in with string lol.
