I assume you live Basingstoke area ?

Well if this candidate is the one you mention, then it seems her competition has a few screws loose as well

Report her To the Councillors standards committee
Even if she survives it ,it doesn't go down well for her as they are pretty ruthless
I'm a local councillor and you have to be squeaky clean in everything you do

Yep, read that last week lol.

I wonder what the benefits are to being a councillor as it seems some quite undesirable people are keen to get on the gravy train

Not a lot of Money to be honest 5-10 k PA if your lucky at city level
15-20 k for county level if your very lucky

Most Councillors have part time jobs as well or retired on a good pension and want to put something back into the community

Generally you do it for the prestige and the feel good factor
Nothing but hassel 80 % of the time but that 20% when people thank you for making improvements ,atending civil duties or opening new projects or switching on the Xmas lights and 2000 people turn up makes it all worth while

But you have to be a certain sort of character

I know a lovely councillor who always bumps into me in Tesco. I never spot him in Aldi or LIDL.
