If my old ebay password has been nicked then that would be the one used to try and access other sites where I might use the same password. Changing my ebay password is shutting the door after the horse has buggered off surely?
I guess the answer is to have a different password for every site but that is a real pain for a lazy sod like me.
PS. How do I undo my PC stored password which just comes up as ******** when I visit a site? Windows 7 btw.

I've changed my ebay password. Not that the hackers can do much with my details except sending me some spam emails. If they come around to shoot me for my strawhat and a banjo, they can have them without having to shoot me.
Our personal details to some extent are on almost every website we visit. Even just via our Hotmail or gmail addy people can locate our whereabouts. Recently a friend of mine located me after 25 years gap since our school days. It was a pain to be woken up at 5am when my iPhone all of a sudden started playing drums, as that friend lives in Texas. No regard to my sleep.
We are living in the age of surveillance. There's no getting away.
