interesting to see so many coming out of the woodwork saying good things about the ultrac sessanta. im looking at buying some alloys for my hawk and have been looking at them among others budget allowing..
read a big thread on some forum i found on google about the asymetrical tread design of the sessanta.. some reckoned it might have the car pull one direction over the other in water or that water would be expelled moreso out one side than the other (ie- one side throws water out and other side throws water into the wheel arch). out of curiosity did anyone notice anything like that while running the sessanta?
im also loosely eyeing up the nankang NS-2R as they seem to be an epic tyre for the money though im sure wouldnt be anywhere near the vreds in the wet but the new alloys would be for the warmr months anyway..
must see how much of a difference in price there is between the sessanta and the vorti as im not too keen on the look of the sessanta being asymetrical.. i must have tyre OCD i dont mind an asym like the vorti or symetrical tyres but the sessanta to me looks great until you see the left and right side at once. the glowing reviews were making me consider them though..
EDIT: also is the vorti endorsed by hamann or something? i notice on google images they seem to have the hamann logo/writing on them.. not something you would usually see on a tyre.. wonder when the AC Schnitzer or STi labelled tyres will come out? lol
