The post you put above with the 350z is based on rough roads and you mention it's your car and your review. From another forum I've seen the same post by someone from Houston? Is this you also, I'm asking as I'm looking for subjective reviews from the UK and having worked in Houston and all over America I can safely save a rough road over in the US is not the same as a rough B road in Scotland.

That was my personal experience, I didn't sugar coat it (honestly) and to be honest I am probably really critical of the GT1.
Here is one from the MLR:
http://www.lancerregister.com/showpo...23&postcount=1
I've recently fitted a set of GT1's to my wife's 9 GT also to replace a set of Teins (Sport Spec Winding Master Mono Flex - IIRC £1600 ish new.) I haven't had chance to take it out for a really good run yet, but my first impressions are that they have totally transformed the car. Instead of jiggling about, and crashing over even the smallest imperfections on the road the car is now a pleasure to drive around town. I no longer have to treat slight dips and slightly sunken manhole covers as if they are huge potholes....I can just drive over them like I would in a normal car. Pushing the car a little harder the Teins used to feel like the wrong combination of bumps could send you bouncing off the road, now it feels like the suspension can easily soak up anything thrown at it without becoming unsettled. Since it's my wife's car it seems only fair to share her opinion too, below is an exact copy/paste of the text message she sent me the first time she drove the car. (She is a lot lighter than me and always said the car felt like it was trying to bounce her off the road when I wasn't in it with her and felt dangerous to her even just at town speeds).....
OMG my car feels mint. Just did the cherry hill/ strikes block and it's mint. I can **** off at lights and it goes straight forward my car was telling me to go up guisborough road dual carriageway but my head said stop it lol. The adrenaline has almost made me get cramp in my legs lol xxx
I realise neither of us are suspension guru's, but I don't think how the Meister R's perform on track is in question any more....people seem to want to know how easy they are to live with day to day and how they perform on the road.
We are both VERY impressed, at the price point I wouldn't even consider anything else....as long as Meister R are in business then my future suspension choices have been made very easy.
If I ever convince the other half to let me take her car to a track day I'll report back.
I've also had the cheaper MeisterR coilovers on my DC2, and wife's old Glanza and was very impressed with them aswell.

What you "think" should happen doesn't actually happen when driving.
Your brain gets ready for you to make steering adjustment before you hit a patch of bumps, then your car drive over it like it wasn't there.
It is a very odd sensation, and really show off what advance suspension technology can do.

And while I am here, just thought I posted up something I found interesting from this year AutoSport Show.
One of the rather unique feature of the MeisterR GT1 dampers is that we use a double 44mm piston inside.
This is different from other dampers as the GT1 actually use 2 full size piston with 2 wear tape.
This spread the load and therefore increase side load capacity without going into an inverted design.
This is a rather unique design, and I haven't really seen any other suspension brand using similar design... until last week.
It seems we weren't the only one using this double piston design, MOTON seems to be using this also.
There aren't much literature on the function of their design, and it is probably different from the GT1.
But just thought it is interesting because this is actually the closest I have seen another design in terms of what the GT1 internals looks like.
Also, from an engineering point of view, the MOTON's damping adjustment system is a work of art.
Amazing precision and complex, it's no wonder why their 4-way dampers are £10,000 a set.
Overkill? Yes... but what a thing of beauty. :coolsm:

I placed an order on Tuesday for them as theyve got 0% finance (always nicer to do that than have a lump sum removed from account), but still waiting on a confirmation email...

As ripped from the Forester OC (as i own a Foz)
As i cant find a review of them on the net, and as ive recently purchased them, i thought id do one.
First up though is my car history;
*Honda Integra Type R DC5, ran around on OEM suspension and then Eibach Pro-Street Coilovers (not alot back then was available for the DC5)
*Then purchased a Porsche 996 GT3 and ran it along side the DC5. People said the 996 was raw - it was luxury compared to the DC5!
*Sold the DC5 and got a Forester 2.5XT that had OEM suspension on the front and Pedders Rear Kit
* the XT's engine then decided to 'die' and i got a '05 STI
So ive owned some fairly stiff cars in the past (DC5 being the hardest, even OEM was bone shaking for UK Roads and the Eibach kit only a little bit better)
Fast forward to present day;
Purchased the STI but it was running on Tein Coilovers Front with 4kg Spring (model is the one with the adjustable motors) and some ebay specials at the rear with the Tein Springs on.
I wasnt a fan of this set-up, i like driving down country lanes and several times i felt the rear end come light just before/at the road speed limit on several corners or coming off a round-a-bout. Which for some is great but not for me. Also, going over expansion joints in the road would sometimes have the rear end skipping slightly. But otherwise the car ran fairly softly.
So looking originally at the Meister CRD+'s i managed to find a forum user localish to me that agreed to take me out in his. They seemed to run fairly smoothly but as i was just passenger, i lacked the feedback you get from driving. I guess im just not pro enough to set the car up from the passenger seat. So, then started looking at the GT1's noticed they had 0% finance deal going so why not. I did have to go for the Impreza suspension in our fitment
3 weeks later and they turned up
And had the local garage/race team fit them for me. With the original coilovers on, there was about 25mm of clearance between the top of the tyre and the lip of the wheel arch. I wanted this to go to 50mm as i have no need for a low car (i like the look of the Rallye Scoobies and liked the ride height of my old XT) but alas it wasnt to be. When they wound the kit to my height, it was found to have positive camber and wouldnt go negative @ the rear. After a bit of cursing my end - i didnt realise i needed a Camber kit, i ended up reverting back to 25mm gap and having 0 Camber at the rear. Oddly enough, they commented on the 25mm being the height it came from the factory at. So not sure if MR intended that or it just happened. OEM is still alot higher than the 50mm i wanted.
My settings are now:
Front: -1.9 Camber, 0.05(?) Toe
Rear: 0 Camber 0.03 Toe
Handling and turn in of the car is all rather subjective and ive not been able to chuck it about properly but it does turn in alot better than before, though its lost some of the fun of the XT (no idea what settings that had).
So anyway, how does it ride?
Setting 33
So i had the garage set it on the Firmest Setting, lets call it 33 (0 - soft, 33 - 'hard'), apparently the mechanic come back from a short test drive complaining about how harsh a ride it is. To me, it just felt firm but still supple enough on the roads.
How it rode, so i managed to get some mixed driving in over the weekend from lanes to motorway. And to me it felt great. My OH commented on how it felt more stiffer and rode nicer than previously. One test i have is that my town has a cobbled section (thats even but not smooth and cambered) and i see if i can change the volume on the Stereo (single din Kenwood unit in the centre of the dash) = failed hopelessly as the hand kept bouncing up and down past the ****. But its great for booby jiggling.
As another comparison, ive turned a hard tail mountain bike into a commuter bike by putting on commuter tyres for MTB's, it was like running around with tyre pressures at 75psi (max for my bike tyres is 85psi)
Setting 0
Next up was Setting ), ie the softest possible. I didnt like it and it reminded me of the previous set-up. This test lasted all of a few miles of town driving and some lanes before i had to pull over and firm it up.
Using the Bike PSI pressure, it was like running around on 30/85psi
Setting 20
After setting 0, a quick twist of the ***** by 20 clicks all round. Ive not really had much of a play on this setting, just a quick motorway blast but id say its more like 60/85psi.
Like i said before, some will find hard super hard as it all depends on their car driving history and what they currently own, which they will compare to. Also, tyres can play a massive part in it as well. Im running around on Nokian Z-Lines XL. So i wouldnt say they was overly stiff but i dont find them soft and tend to run them at 32psi cold = 34 psi hot. I find that if i run them at 32psi hot, they dont handle how i want them to. Strangely i find that they handle better sub (the magic) 7c than at the hotter temperatures.
Ill update the thread should someone ask any questions but otherwise ill update once ive done 1000 miles on them. A friend had them on his MX5 and said it took them 1k miles until they had 'bedded' in so ill go through all the settings again and comment again on how i find them once the suspensions worn a bit. There just doesnt seem to be any review threads on here or anywhere thats current or for the Foz

Kingston,
Ive been running these now 6 months on a JDM STI. I also have a BUG STI on BCs. I could write a review but it would not guarantee it answers your questions. I drive on some of the best roads in Scotland, but there are also shocking roads! Both cars have driven the same roads/routes. Including some of the old Rally of GB road sections (also used in Topgear filming).
I think i can make good good comparisons between the 2 set ups/vehicles. Also the JDM was on standard suspension prior so technically that’s 3 set ups to compare between. If you have any specific questions then fire away. It may be easier to answer direct questions rather than just write what some may consider a one sided/bias review.

Just received Notification that Joe posted but he posted months ago....
Anyway, with a few more miles under the belt, i went to 20F/17R as 20/20 was to stiff for some local roads.
Now running 20F/15R as even 17 started to make the rear bouncy on some local town roads. Tyres could also be on their way out as well and new ones needed as had a bit of an understeer/lift off or just normal oversteer moment on the curve at the A1/M25 Anti-Clockwise junction in the damp (for those that now it) and never had it before .

I was originally looking at these as part of the suspension refresh for my JDM widetrack blobeye but the solid top mounts and big price increase put me off.
Based on 2pot's recommendations I've decided on KW Variant 3s with Whiteline KCA335 adjustable rubber top mounts at the front and Group N top mounts at the rear.

Bit of a thread resurrection as this one helped me make my decision on upgrading from the Zeta CRD+ to the GT1 coilover.s
Background info:
Car - Subaru Impreza WRX(not mcuh that is wrx on it) wagon 2004
Suspension - Fully polybushed with Superpro bushes, ALK, Whiteline front+rear arb, Whiteline rear lateral arms, upgraded drop links and Meister R Zeta CRD+ coilovers (for the last 4 years nearly). Basically most bits replaced with Whiteline or Superpro parts.
Power - 470bhp and 405 ft lb torque
Drivetrain - 6 speed with DCCD(Map dccd controller)
Engine - EJ207 with arp studs. Stock internals
Management - Haltech Elite 2500 ecu
Other - direct port water methanol injection
Tyres - Michelin Pilot Sport 4 on a set of OZ Ultralegerras 17x8
Use - driven daily, all sorts of daily duties, track days and regular mountain hoons. Very poor road surfaces mostly.
Over the recent Black Friday time, there was the offer for 20% off the GT1 coilovers and having managed to sell my coilovers, I decided to take the plunge. Of note, after 4 years of daily use, the Zeta CRD+ were still in excellent condition bar ripped rear boots which I got a set of 4 ordered. For anyone worried about them corroding, there is no issues there. The Zeta CRD+ performed beyond my expectations and I bought it off at 20% off with the group buy at the time on Scoobynet(Thanks again). Definitely scored there
I contacted Edwin(Meister R) and asked so many questions. All answered with more information my way to digest. Very quick to reply back to me even during this busy season and very knowledgable. Having experienced different cars with different suspension setups, I knew that I wanted to achieve with this upgrade and the order is now placed. 4-6 week waiting time and once I get the coilovers installed, dialled in for a fast road setup to my own liking, I will update this thread again to post my subjective experience of the car. I may try to get a short video clip as well and see. Hoping to do a few track days again next year and will post as well after that as that's when I will find out exactly whether it can properly perform

Quick update:
Meister R Gt1 installed on the wagon for the last 4 days now. Initial impression, very impressed. The quality of ride is a big step up from the Zeta Crd+. It just soaks the road imperfections way better. I am still messing with the settings and still need to properly test the car. I will report back once I have put a good few miles on it.
A few pictures below of the coils:

3 years thinking, in a meantime I went with oem struts on my car from crd. Knock on oem is terrible now and decided to try GT1's plus roll centre kit and alk. Yes will change above in March and give feedback.

Fitted rears, what a pain job it is,at a beginning i struggled to remove rear seat. Than 1h to unbolt freaking whiteline adjustable drop links ( no rubber left will need new ones),in a meantime i rounded 19mm bolt.
Than I was waiting for some 1/2" extractor sockets and wd40 bolts penetrator. 7 bolts on each side took me 12h. My 2nd time and hopefully never again.
Next week fronts, should be easy, followed by new fuji 345mm rear brake kit.

Front gt1's fitted to ,that was easy ,took me 2.5h. I setup fronts from hardest 13 clicks , rears 16. will try 2 clicks softer on a rear tomorrow and 1 click for front.
Front was good with 13 clicks rear to hard for me,need to go lower at rear to- 150mm from collar to collar think about 135mm.
Waiting for new drop links, need to book a slot with Carnetix or Chevron for alk ,rollcentre ,hardrace trailing and lateral arms fitment and geo setup.
