I was going the coilover route myself however after lots of reading, chatting and debating I came to the conclusion that you shouldn't lower the car too much, especially a scooby.

If you lower the car too far you will cause the bearings and other joints etc to get over stressed.

I was advised by 911 and others to set the lowest point when your wishbone is parallel with the floor or higher, you don't want the wishbone end (the bit that joins to the hub) to be higher than the rear wishbone mounting point otherwise your overloading this whole area.

Take off your original shocks, measure their height for both front and back and set your coilover height to the same. I am not sure how TEIN's adjust however my previous coilovers had independant platforms for lowering the car without affecting the rebound setting.

Your rebound should be setup, if not then set the rebound collar to 2.5 turns to lock (preloading the spring) and then it's a case of testing out the coilovers until you find rebound setting and damping that works for you (I had the rebound set at 4 turns I think).

For lowering set the coilovers to the same height as your existing shocks and then take off whatever amount you want for front and back e.g. 10 mm front/rear which should lower your coilovers properly front and back (I was advised scoobies sit a little squat i.e slighter higher at the front).

Your TEIN instructions should state how much you can lower the coilovers by (mine had a max of 50 mm).

Best to stick a post in the technical section and get a hold of the Oracle of Suspension/Handling that is 911
