Default 17 or 18 for track use.

Just looking for people's experience when it comes to wheel size for track use.

Currently running PFF 18's but these will be coming off when the car is stripped for track use. Is it worth sorting some 18's for the track or are 17's more favoured?

Also if 17's are more favoured what ET/Offset do I require to clear my K-sports? It's for a newage WRX so 5 x 100 pcd.

Cheers

I prefer the feel of 17"s as will most who go on the track I suspect, I think the PFF7's are ET53 but the K sports are not as big as Brembos so possibly an ET48 but don't take me 100% on that

It's been a while since I've been on 17's, I did notice a fair few up at TOTB this year on 17's, including yours

I was the same thought 18's were fine until I went back to a set of 17's, The feel is so much better IMO, It's worth just putting a set on just to feel the difference.

I'm running 17" Team Dynamics Monza R @ ET45 - they clear the 330mm front K-Sports on my Classic.

Don't know if that helps you.

I think sometimes it's the contour of the inner side of the spokes that can cause fouling too(?)

Sounds like a good idea. I'll add it to my growing parts list for the build...

^^^ yep spoke design does play a part, An off set on one wheel might not necessarily work on another design
