Classic brake upgrade with 16's
Hi, I have a v3 sti with the subaru 4 pot calipers on! Looking to do some sprints and so was pondering a brake upgrade.
Are the calipers I already have rated? Must admit they don't feel incredible, I have red stuff pads on the front but never really hammered the brakes to see what they are like warm.
Is there a better brake combo out there that will keep my standard 16" wheels?
Would love some gold brembo's but feel I would have a better handling car on 16's
What would be best for a sprint car?
Cheers

4pot fronts/2pot rears, to keep the car level under braking. Both with stainless pistons, and f295mm/r290mm grooved discs.
You could use 2-piece front rotors, with an alloy hub, to dissipate the heat.
road/track pad - orange stuff
track/road pad - cl5+
You can make Brembo GT calipers, off a seat leon, or porsche monobloc calipers, off a boxster s, fit under 16".

as above Subaru four pots on the front and 2 pots on the rear with a good set of pads will make a world of difference I run this set up on my sprint car with performance friction 01 pads all round with motel dot4 race fluid and the car stops with sprints you want a pad that's bits well from cold n

same ones as im running on mine disc are cheap crap that came on the car but will be getting replaced with bracktec or similar depends what AS performance recommends at the end of the season ready to go again next year for what it costs I would recommend fitting new seals for what the cost

Ok cool, il stick with these for a bit then to save costs, after some coilovers too just get some new discs and pads and should be good to go then, worth getting braided hoses?
