Default XXR527 18" x 8.75 refurb

Just bought another set of xxr527 in flat black which have a few kerb marks but have near new yoko parada tyres

Sent mags a pm re a refurb and a colour change to gold but does anyone know a decent place i can have this done around the Manchester area?

Be careful about having them powder coated.

I've seen many rims fail (especially thin spoked rims) because the powder coating process has been done too hot. What eventually happens is that the spokes break and the our part of the wheel breaks away from the centre part. Messy and dangerous if it happens at speed!!

Now that's just showing off Martin
I do like the look though.

I presume yours are 18 x 8.75 et35 ?

Did you have to rework the arches ?

These may well be my next purchase in gold

Ryan aka ProdriveRules refurbs wheels but paints them Worth considering especially on 'budget' rims

Waiting on a pm back from mags Jura I know you've changed yours a few times and have no issues with powder coating that's why I thought I'd give it a go. As for colour I really fancy the gold xxr for the winter

I have a set of track wheels which are powder coated and they get some abuse and are still good after two years, I think powder coating must just be the luck of the draw?

Think it's a job for professionals Steve who know what they're doing. Suppose any wheel wether powder coated or not could fail
