have a look at this thread to see the size of arches required to make them wheels work. I'm aware that other things can be done to make them fit(arch flaring+camber+crazy stretch), but would not look right........In my opinion

As a newbie to Scooby's ... just to confirm ... as i want some new wheels and have BlobEye with Prodrive kit and want to get lowering springs (25-30mm i assume is ok)
PCD 100 x 5.
18x8.5 ET35 = No arch work , bolt on , speed off.
18x9 ET ?? = Slight sticking out but bolt on and speed off ?
18x9.5 ET ?? = Need to roll arch
18x10 - forget it unless get proper work done on arches.

im at a loss with ET .... no idea what suppose to have or not have .. is there any easy chat to follow.
Assuming from 34-38et is ok for 8.5J width ? Should the number go lower the wider the wheels .... so 9J is 28-34 ?
As you can tell no idea what it all means .
main reason for asking is i want to order some wheels online as where im from PCD 100 is a little limited or very pricy.

The centre line of a wheel will always be et0, no matter how wide it is. The hub mounting face, which is where the actual offset is measured from varies from wheel to wheel as they are made to fit a variety of cars obviously and each car/owner have their own idea of the perfect offset.
Basically the lower the offset the further out the wheel sits

If you require any more info feel free to pm me

So thw wider the alloy the less ET to match what the standard wheel hub position is.

Pretty much. It would probably be easier if you showed us an example of how you wanted the wheels to sit then we could advise what size of wheel and offset to look for.
Most people that run 18x9.5" wheels (myself included) have an et38 wheel. For this you will need coilovers and rolled arches and a bit of camber if you want to go really low
