Scoobymaina and Scoobysport would be a good place to advice from on this front as they both do upgrades that would suit you...

I have to agree with Chris the TSL stuff is the business!!
Had it on the RB5 and it was a serious improvment.

Where are the Mintex available for that price??? The only ones I've seen have been about 120 quid.

Try www.scoobyworld.co.uk or www.falkland.co.uk for Mintex pads. Falkland give discounts for SIDC members.

Like Simon I have the Godspeed setup and its great. Id also consider braided hoses and new fluid if your car is over two years old... that will make a huge improvement...

Borrowed from ScoobyMania

These race-bred brake lines are constructed from the finest quality hose, consisting of PTFE inner and stainless steel overbraid.

Eliminate sponginess under heavy braking.
Increase braking efficiency.
Abrasion and corrosion resistant.
All hose kits come complete with a lifetime warranty card.

Steve, the reason you go up to braided hoses is that over time the rubber hoses start to wear and they baloon more and more, so you are pushing the fluid thru the pedal to the brake but instead its swelling the brake hose, leadeing to a spongey feel on the brakes.

Every car and bike ive upgraded in thsi way has felt brilliant after, but the new fluid is a big help as it should be replaced at least every 24months, preferrably sooner, as it takes on water, leading to a spongey feel and potential damage due to rust in the system.

HTH, Jon.

Thank you,

Braided hoses sound a very good upgrade and I'll check the Pagid items.
