Where can i get 7mm shims/spacers?
#1
Hi,
Just posted the same question in dealer and 3rd party forum but might get more views in here, so here goes.... Does anybody body know who can supply a 7mm shim/spacer for a scooby? Rally Design can do a 5mm (Grayston ones i think) but the next size up is 10mm . I Demon Tweeks are the same (Grayston). Anybody got any suggestions?
Cheers,
Tony.

Go for 10mm with extended studs.
Spacers are nobody's favourite extras but within reason they work. Main worry is not leaving enough thread on the bolts for safety. There's little enough as it is so get some longer ones.
The reason I suggest 10mm spacers plus longer studs is because you need some room in there. Bearings give, wheels and calipers move (quite a lot!) and you need 3mm clearance between the outside of calipers and inside of wheel spokes to be sure of clearance on max cornering.
Stay safe
Richard.
