17's or 18' on a hawkeye

Default 17's or 18' on a hawkeye

hey guys,

kinda doing my nut in

im going to be lowering the spec d on teins, so 40mm drop, i cant decide on 17 or 18" wheels

ive googled loads of pics, but they can be decieving so just looking for advice off people who have done it

I'm gonna subscribe to this thread as I personally would prefer 17s with ride comfort extra lows and IMO looks.

But my mates are saying 18s but IMO the bigger they are the louder they sound and break your back using silly low pro tyres.

Im thinking the same as you Jake, Really like how mine drives comfort wise on the standard 17 inch wheels but really do like the look of the 18 inch wheels

You lowering on springs or coils? If coils my leggy had tein and they were ridiculously hard on 16s but if springs I have just done my Hawkeye with tein s springs and 18s and they are just right loving them at the moment.

17 do look great but you have the ability to wind down your ride height. I'm thinking with just springs the
17's may look lost in the arch.

this was my previous blob with 18" and eibach springs

but like i said looks good but dont feel as good as 17 imo

i think the gap looks bigger on my silver one

btw suspension on my black one isnt wound down much at all

17 look small, 18 looks better, 17 drive better,

18 inch i think suit newages plus prodrive recomended me to get 18 inch wheels when i first got my subaru with the PPP.
