Default Wheel & tyre size advice

Hi all,
I'm running 18 inch Redlines at the moment with 215/35/18 tyres, but I'm thinking of changing to 17 inch wheels which need to clear Brembos. What offset do I need, my Redlines are 45 offset will that be the same on 17s? Also what tyre size do I need to avoid clearance issues & to keep the tyre circumfrance the same so my speedo is still accurate? Suspension is lowered about 25mm & my Redlines clear fine.
Thanks, Richard.

I'm guessing if I go with a 40 profile then the circumference will be the same, or do I need a 45 profile. I'm also thinking the 45 offset will be fine too & if I use less offset then I can always use spacers. If someone can confirm I'd appreciate it.

Whats the car, Classic or Newage,

Classic 40 profile
Newage 45 profile

Which redline wheel, If its the copy of the PFF7 i think they clear, I know that the PFF7 offset if 53 and my BBS wheels are the same and these both clear Brembos.

It's a classic. I haven't got the wheels yet my current wheels are inovit Redlines with a 45 offset & clear my Brembos, but I want to change from 18 to 17 inch rims & need to know what wheels & tyres to buy.
Thanks Richard.
