Mixed makes of tyre?
#1
I am getting some new tyres tomorrow, but it will mean I have Bridgestone RE010s on the front and some new Goodyear Eagle F1s on the back. Is this going to be okay or is it not recommended?
I guess I can take it easy till the fronts need replacing too...

not reccomended. it can cause some strange handling. probably one extreme or the other, understeer/oversteer. Much better to have all 4 evenly matched tyres, unless you are trying to achieve different handling characteristics

Don't do it as you will upset the handling characteristics of the car, possibly with dire results. Bite the bullet and change all 4, then remember to swap them front to back each service or earlier to get them to wear at the same rate.
The tyres are the most important factor affecting a cars handling, don't compromise !
