Default Which of these brake setups is best?

This is for my Legacy GTB Estate, so it's a heavy old lump.
Front brakes only (I have Subaru 2-pots/Mintex M1144 on the rear)

Option 1.
Sti Brembos/Apec plain Discs/Apec Pads.

Option 2.
Subaru 4-pots/Brembo plain discs/Orangestuff pads.

I have both of these sets in my shed, all are new, or nearly new.
There are no other options.

Which will be best for fast road use only?

Hi there

I would go everytime with the Brembo and good pads like with Subaru 4pots and any pads,we are tried on Subaru 4pots EBC Bluestuff NDX and we are been very disappointed

This is for fast road use only though, and I have what I have.
Not spending anything more.

As everyone is different and expect different from there brakes , if you have both sets in your shed why not fit them both and see what you think , I think the smaller setup with the better pads would work best as the pads are the most important part of a brake setup , pads make or break a brake setup !

Do your wheels clear the Brembo's , as a lot of wheels don't as they foul on the spokes

Both brake setups fit under wheels.
As both type of calipers are newly refurbished, I don't really want to try them both.
I want to fit a set, and probably flog the other set without them being used.
Thanks for the input guys.

I would go with Brembo without the doubts,if they will fit under your wheels

But as everyone can confirm, good pad choice with discs will make difference like on the Brembo or on the Subaru OE 4pots

Brembos will be a lot better with heat temperature etc and will not fade as the standard 4 pots will, as long as you have a good pad combination you should be fine.
I'm using carborn Lorraine rc6 pads and are awesome and pads like pf and pagd and carbotech will be just as good.
Although there is no bedding in process with cl rc6 pads compared to others and work same from cold to hot at a mere £150 approx for Brembo callers.
Google them.

I don't expect to get brake fade on the road at all.
I'm all spent up on brakes, the object here is to not spend any more money!
