Default grinding noise

I fitted Godspeed discs and pads several months ago and since then i when i go in from reverse to forward, when i press the brake pedal the first time i get a clunking noise but after that its ok. Is this normal?

Secondly, when i go into half lock i hear a rubbing noise, metal on metal form my drivers side front, its more pronounced when reversing but in a hard right turn i hear it as well. Its only happened since the upgrade

does anyone have any ideas, i know its not bearings

thanks

The only time we have seen brakes "clunking" is where somebody didn't fit the pad retaining plate correctly and the pads could move about.

As for the rubbing noise can you see any markings on the discs from something rubbing it?

Give us a call if you want and we can run through a couple things with you to check. 01656 723060

Thanks for getting back to me, Iw asnt criticising your company, just trying to figure out if there was a commone problem when you upgrade.

I have Brembo Calipers, and i will check for rubbing today. It sounds like the dust plate is in contact with the disc but ill chech that further tomorrow as the car is in for geometry and ill have better access

Thanks

Hi
Yes it's very easy to bend the backplate by accident when fitting new discs and pads which makes the plates rub on the discs , get them to check them
Cheers Ian
